Young girls must have had their menstrual periods for at least one year before starting this tablet.

How to use Zocor: Take this tablet by mouth usually once per day in evening, with or without food. Certain medical conditions (e.g., familial hypercholesterolemia) may require more frequent dosage instructions as directed by youre doctor. Dosage is based on some your medical condition, response to therapy, & use of certain interacting medicines. many the drugs listed in med Interactions section may increase chances of muscle injury when used with simvastatin. Consult your physician or pharmacist since more info. Limit amount about grapefruit or grapefruit juice you may eat or drink (less then 1 quart a day) while being treated with this medication, unless specifically directed otherwise. Grapefruit juice may increase amount of certain drugs in your bloodstream. Consult some your doctor or doctor for more following following text. If you also take certain other drugs to lower your cholesterol (bile acid-binding resins such as cholestyramine or colestipol), take simvastatin at least 1 hour before or at least 2 hours after these medications. Use this med regularly at order to get most benefit from this. Remember to use this at the same time each day. this may take up to 4 weeks before full benefit of this drug takes effect. this is important to continue taking it medication even if you feel well. most people with high cholesterol or triglycerides do not feel sick.

Zocor side effects: Stomach upset may occur. If this effect persists or worsens, notify your physician or pharmacist promptly. this drug may infrequently cause muscle damage (which can rarely lead to a very serious, possibly fatal, condition called rhabdomyolysis). Stop taking it medication and tell youre doctor immediately if you develop: muscle pain/tenderness/weakness (especially with fever or unusual tiredness). Tell your physician immediately if any of these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: yellowing eyes & skin, dark urine, severe fatigue, stomach/abdominal pain, persistent nausea, change in amount of urine. a serious allergic reaction to this med is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs.
