Questran Light Usage: it medication is used to lower cholesterol levels in the blood for purpose of decreasing the risk of heart disease.
How to use Questran Light: Take this med before meals as prescribed. do not take medication dry. medication must be mixed with liquid, soups, cereals or pulpy fruits such as applesauce or crushed pineapple. Stir completely to mix and drink immediately. Rinse glass with additional liquid and drink to ensure every the medication is taken. this medication can interfere with another medications if taken at same time. Take other drugs one hour before or four to 6 hours after taking this drug. Ask your physician or healthcare professional to help establish a dosing schedule if you are taking more than one tablet. since best results, this medication must be used along with an exercise program & low-cholesterol, low-fat diet. it may take a few weeks to months before the full effects of this medication noticed.
Questran Light side effects: Stomach upset, heartburn, constipation, belching, gas, nausea, loss of appetite, aggravated hemorrhoids, change about taste, headache, or itching may occur. If these effects persist or become bothersome, inform you're pharmacist. Notify your doctor if you experience: unusual bleeding or bruising, severe stomach ache, vomiting. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your pharmacist or doctor.
Questran Light Precautions: Tell some your physician youre medical history, especially: constipation, hemorrhoids, diabetes, phenylketonuria (PKU), low thyroid hormone levels (hypothyroidism), stomach/intestinal disease, gall bladder disease, kidney disease, liver disease, unusual bleeding or bruising, any allergies. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your pharmacist. it is not known if it drug is excreted into breast milk. Consult you're doctor before breast-feeding.
Questran Light med interactions: Tell youre healthcare professional about every prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use, especially of: digitoxin, digoxin, diuretics ('water pills'), penicillin G, phenobarbital, phenylbutazone, propranolol, tetracycline, thyroid, warfarin or another 'blood thinners', vitamin A/D/E, antidepressants, hydrocortisone, estrogens and progestins (e.g., birth control pills), troglitazone. don't start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or healthcare professional approval.
Questran Light Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include severe constipation.
Questran Light special notes: you're physician may periodically perform lab tests during treatment to evaluate effectiveness of the drug. Know what some your cholesterol level is & understand what it means. your pharmacist, pharmacist or nutritionist can provide you with valuable info. do not allow anyone else to take this medication.
If you missed Questran Light dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost time for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double the dose to catch up.
Questran Light Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in the bathroom.
