Miralax Usage: it product is used since the short-term treatment of constipation.
How to use Miralax: Take by mouth one time daily as directed by youre physician. Mix 1 heaping tablespoon (17 grams) about powder with 8 ounces (240 ml) of water, juice, sodas, coffee, or tea. measuring cap provided contains 17 grams of powder when filled to indicated line. Ask your healthcare professional if you have questions about any of the information. 2 to four days may be required to produce bowel movement. do not use this drug for more than 14 days unless directed by you're doctor. Long-term use of laxatives may lead to laxative dependence, chronic constipation, loss of normal bowel function & damage to the bowel. Overuse of laxatives may cause persistent diarrhea, dehydration & body mineral problems.
Miralax side effects: Stomach pain, nausea, bloating, gas or diarrhea may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, notify your healthcare professional. Allergic reactions to this pill are unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if they occur. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Miralax Precautions: Tell you're pharmacist your medical history, especially of: allergies, stomach/intestinal problems (e.g., obstruction, ileus), persistent nausea/vomiting/bloating/stomach pain. this medication must be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss benefits & risks with your physician. this is unknown if it drug passes into breast milk. Consult some your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Miralax drug interactions: Tell your doctor of every prescription and nonprescription med you may use, especially of: other laxatives (e.g., milk about magnesia). do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or physician approval.
Miralax Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include diarrhea.
Miralax special notes: do not share this med with others. it may harm someone. Proper diet, increased fluid intake & regular exercise may help prevent constipation. Consult your physician or doctor.
If you missed Miralax dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as you remember. If this is near time of the following dose, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.
Miralax Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from light & moisture. it drug may also be refrigerated. do not freeze.
