    Ambenonium - oral

    (am-bee-no-nee-um)

    common brand names: Mytelase

    Mytelase Usage: Ambenonium is used to treat muscle weakness due to muscle disease (myasthenia gravis).

    How to use Mytelase: Take this drug by mouth as directed. the dosage is based on youre medical condition and response to therapy. Use this medication exactly as prescribed. the incorrect use of this med can lead to serious side effects. don't exceed prescribed dose, unless told to do so by your doctor. Learn all instructions for proper use about this drug & management about you're condition, including how to use atropine or change your medication dosage, if necessary. Consult your healthcare professional or physician.

    Mytelase side effects: Nausea may occur. If this effect persists or worsens, notify your pharmacist promptly. Tell your doctor immediately if any about these serious side effects occur: headache, diarrhea, stomach pain, increased saliva, increased sweating, urinary urgency, eye changes (pinpoint pupils or increased tears). Tell your pharmacist immediately if any about these unlikely, but serious side effects occur: unusually slow pulse, trouble breathing, trouble swallowing, vision changes, muscle cramps or spasms, muscle weakness, dizziness. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these highly unlikely, but very serious side effects occur: chest pain, loss of coordination, seizures, mental/mood changes. If you notice any other effects not listed above, contact your physician or pharmacist.

    Mytelase Precautions: Tell youre pharmacist you're medical history, especially of: seizures, lung problems (e.g., asthma), nerve problems (e.g., vagotonia), stomach/intestinal problems (e.g., ulcers, obstruction, megacolon), heart problems (e.g., bradycardia, arrhythmia, coronary occlusion), thyroid problems (e.g., hyperthyroid), urinary problems (e.g., ureter or bladder obstruction), any allergies. Use this med with caution because serious side effects can occur quickly. Notify your doctor promptly if you begin to experience any side effects (listed in SIDE EFFECTS section). Use with caution in elderly, as they may be more sensitive to effects of this medication (e.g., weakness, diarrhea, stomach pain). it drug should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with you're doctor. It's not known whether this drug is excreted at to breast milk. Consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.

    Mytelase pill interactions: Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription drug you may use, especially: mecamylamine, atropine, aminoglycoside antibiotics (e.g., neomycin, gentamicin, tobramycin), local or general anesthetics (e.g., lidocaine), heart rhythm drugs (e.g., quinidine), corticosteroids (e.g., prednisone), cholinergic drugs (e.g., bethanecol), muscle relaxants (e.g., baclofen), magnesium supplements, dexpanthenol. do not start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or physician approval.

    Mytelase Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: severe breathing trouble, seizures.

    Mytelase special notes: do not share this medication with others.

    If you missed Mytelase dose: If you miss a dose, use this as soon as you remember. If It's near time of next dose, skip missed dose and resume some your usual dosing schedule. don't double dose to catch up.

    Mytelase Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from light & moisture.

    Medical alert: your condition may cause complications at medical emergency.
