Ibuprofen M Usage: Ibuprofen is nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), which relieves pain and swelling (inflammation). it is used to treat headaches, muscle aches, backaches, dental pain, menstrual cramps, arthritis, or athletic injuries. this medication is also used to reduce fever & to relieve minor aches and pain due to common cold or flu. this drug works by blocking the enzyme in your body that makes prostaglandins. Decreasing prostaglandins helps to reduce pain, swelling, and fever.
How to use Ibuprofen M: Take this medication by mouth with full glass (8 oz or 240 ml) of water unless you're doctor directs you otherwise. do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking this drug. If stomach upset occurs while taking this medication, take it with food, milk, or an antacid. dosage is based on youre medical condition & response to therapy. If repeat doses are needed, they are usually given six or 8 hours apart; or as directed by you're healthcare professional. When ibuprofen is used in children, dose is based on youre child's weight. Read the product instructions to find appropriate dose for your child's weight. Consult healthcare professional or doctor if you have questions or if you need help in choosing the appropriate dosage form. in certain conditions (e.g., arthritis), it may take up to 2 weeks, taken regularly, before full benefits about this drug take effect. If you use this med since migraine headache, & the pain isn't relieved or worsens after 1st dose, tell your physician immediately. for nonprescription ibuprofen products: If you are treating yourself or giving this pill to a kid for undiagnosed fever or pain, consult doctor immediately if symptoms do not improve within 24 hours, worsen or last for more than 3 days, or if new symptoms appear.
Ibuprofen M side effects: Upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, headache, diarrhea, constipation, drowsiness, & dizziness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify youre pharmacist or pharmacist promptly. Tell your pharmacist immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: stomach pain, swelling of hands or feet, sudden or unexplained weight gain, ringing in ears (tinnitus). Tell your healthcare professional immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: vision changes, rapid or pounding heartbeat, simple bruising or bleeding. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: change at amount of urine, severe headache, very stiff neck, mental/mood changes, persistent sore throat or fever. this drug may infrequently cause serious (rarely fatal) bleeding from stomach or intestines. If you notice any of the following unlikely but very serious side effects, stop taking ibuprofen & consult you're healthcare professional or physician immediately: black stools, persistent stomach/abdominal pain, vomit that looks like coffee grounds. this drug may rarely cause serious (possibly fatal) liver disease. If you notice any of following highly unlikely but very serious side effects, stop taking ibuprofen and consult your doctor or physician immediately: yellowing eyes & skin, dark urine, unusual/extreme tiredness. An allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms about an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Ibuprofen M Precautions: this med should not be used if you have certain medical conditions. Before using this medicine, consult your doctor or physician if you have: severe kidney disease, allergies to aspirin or other NSAIDs (e.g., naproxen, celecoxib). Before using this pill, tell you're physician or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: kidney disease, liver disease, poorly controlled diabetes, stomach problems (e.g., bleeding, ulcers), heart disease (e.g., congestive heart failure), HBP, swelling (edema, fluid retention), dehydration, blood disorders (e.g., anemia), bleeding or clotting problems, asthma, growths at nose (nasal polyps), history of an allergic reaction with symptoms of lip/tongue/throat swelling (angioedema), any allergies in addition to those listed above. it med may make you dizzy or drowsy; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcoholic beverages. it medicine can cause stomach bleeding. per day use about alcohol & tobacco, especially when combined with it medicine, may increase you're risk for stomach bleeding. Consult your physician or physician for more information. this tablet may make you more sensitive to the sun. Avoid prolonged sun exposure, tanning booths or sunlamps. Use sunscreen & wear protective clothing when outdoors. Caution is advised when using it drug in the elderly because they may be more sensitive to the side effects of medication, especially stomach bleeding & kidney effects. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during 1st 6 months of pregnancy. It's not recommended for use during last 3 months of pregnancy due to the potential for serious and fetal damage & interference with normal labor/delivery. Discuss the risks & benefits with your doctor. this drug passes into breast milk. While there have been no reports of harm to nursing infants, consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Ibuprofen M drug interactions: Before using it pill, tell your doctor or pharmacist of every prescription & nonprescription products you may use, especially of: alendronate, other pills for arthritis (e.g., aspirin, methotrexate), 'blood thinners' (e.g., warfarin), corticosteroids (e.g., prednisone), cyclosporine, high blood pressure drugs (including ACE inhibitors such as captopril, angiotensin II receptor antagonists such as losartan, & beta-blockers such as metoprolol), lithium, other NSAIDs (e.g., naproxen, celecoxib), 'water pills' (diuretics such as furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide, triamterene). dollars all prescription & nonprescription medicine labels carefully since many contain pain relievers/fever reducers (NSAIDs such as aspirin or naproxen) which are similar to it drug. If you also taking aspirin, as prescribed by your doctor for reasons such as heart attack or stroke prevention (usually these dosages 81-325 mg per day), continue to take the aspirin & consult your healthcare professional or physician before taking ibuprofen. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or doctor approval.
Ibuprofen M Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: severe stomach pain, coffee ground-like vomit, unusually fast or slow heartbeat, trouble breathing, extreme drowsiness, loss of consciousness, or seizures.

If you missed Ibuprofen M dose: If you prescribed it drug on regular schedule (not just 'as needed') & you miss dose, use it as soon as you remember. If It's near the time of the following dose, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't double the dose to catch up.
