    Ibuprofen Usage: Ibuprofen is nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory pill (NSAID), which relieves pain & swelling (inflammation). it is used to treat headaches, muscle aches, backaches, dental pain, menstrual cramps, arthritis, or athletic injuries. this medication is also used to reduce fever & to relieve minor aches and pain due to the common cold or flu. this med works by blocking enzyme in your body that makes prostaglandins. Decreasing prostaglandins helps to reduce pain, swelling, & fever.

    How to use Ibuprofen: Take this med by mouth with a full glass (8 oz or 240 ml) about water unless your doctor directs you otherwise. don't lie down for in least 30 minutes after taking this medication. If stomach upset occurs while taking this medication, take it with food, milk, or an antacid. the dosage is based on your medical condition & response to therapy. If repeat doses are needed, they are usually given 6 or 8 hours apart; or as directed by your physician. When ibuprofen is used in children, dose is based on your child's weight. Read product instructions to find appropriate dose for your child's weight. Consult the healthcare professional or doctor if you have questions or if you need help in choosing appropriate dosage form. in certain conditions (e.g., arthritis), it may take up to two weeks, taken regularly, before full benefits about it drug take effect. If you use this medication for migraine headache, & pain isn't relieved or worsens after 1-st dose, tell your physician immediately. for nonprescription ibuprofen goods: If you are treating yourself or giving this medication to children for undiagnosed fever or pain, consult the doctor immediately if symptoms do not improve within 24 hours, worsen or last for more than 3 days, or if new symptoms appear.

    Ibuprofen side effects: Upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, headache, diarrhea, constipation, drowsiness, & dizziness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your physician or healthcare professional promptly. Tell your physician immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: stomach pain, swelling of hands or feet, sudden or unexplained weight gain, ringing in the ears (tinnitus). Tell your healthcare professional immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: vision changes, rapid or pounding heartbeat, easy bruising or bleeding. Tell your healthcare professional immediately if any about these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: change in amount about urine, severe headache, very stiff neck, mental/mood changes, persistent sore throat or fever. it drug may infrequently cause serious (rarely fatal) bleeding from stomach or intestines. If you notice any of the next unlikely but very serious side effects, stop taking ibuprofen & consult your doctor or doctor immediately: black stools, persistent stomach/abdominal pain, vomit that looks love coffee grounds. this drug may rarely cause serious (possibly fatal) liver disease. If you notice any about the following highly unlikely but very serious side effects, stop taking ibuprofen and consult you're healthcare professional or healthcare professional immediately: yellowing eyes & skin, dark urine, unusual/extreme tiredness. An allergic reaction to this medication is unlikely, but seek immediate healthcare professional attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your doctor or physician.

    Ibuprofen Precautions: it medication must not be used if you have certain medical conditions. Before using this medicine, consult your healthcare professional or physician if you have: severe kidney disease, allergies to aspirin or other NSAIDs (e.g., naproxen, celecoxib). Before using this tablet, tell your physician or physician your medical history, especially of: kidney disease, liver disease, poorly controlled diabetes, stomach problems (e.g., bleeding, ulcers), heart disease (e.g., congestive heart failure), hypertension, swelling (edema, fluid retention), dehydration, blood disorders (e.g., anemia), bleeding or clotting problems, asthma, growths in nose (nasal polyps), history of an allergic reaction with symptoms about lip/tongue/throat swelling (angioedema), any allergies in addition to those listed above. this drug may make you dizzy or drowsy; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcoholic beverages. it medicine can cause stomach bleeding. per day use of alcohol & tobacco, especially when combined with it medicine, may increase you're risk for stomach bleeding. Consult your pharmacist or pharmacist for more info. this medication may make you more sensitive to the sun. Avoid prolonged sun exposure, tanning booths or sunlamps. Use a sunscreen & wear protective clothing when outdoors. Caution is advised when using this drug in the elderly because they may be more sensitive to side effects of the med, especially stomach bleeding & kidney effects. it drug should be used only when clearly needed during 1'st 6 months of pregnancy. it is not recommended for use during the last 3 months of pregnancy due to potential for serious fetal harm and interference with normal labor/delivery. Discuss the risks & benefits with your physician. it drug passes into breast milk. While there have been no reports of harm to nursing infants, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

    Ibuprofen medication interactions: Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription & nonprescription products you may use, especially of: alendronate, other meds for arthritis (e.g., aspirin, methotrexate), 'blood thinners' (e.g., warfarin), corticosteroids (e.g., prednisone), cyclosporine, HBP drugs (including ACE inhibitors such as captopril, angiotensin II receptor antagonists such as losartan, & beta-blockers such as metoprolol), lithium, other NSAIDs (e.g., naproxen, celecoxib), 'water pills' (diuretics such as furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide, triamterene). cash all prescription & nonprescription medicine labels carefully since much contain pain relievers/fever reducers (NSAIDs such as aspirin or naproxen) which are similar to it med. If you are also taking aspirin, as prescribed by your pharmacist for reasons such as heart attack or stroke prevention (usually these dosages are 81-325 mg per day), continue to take the aspirin and consult your healthcare professional or pharmacist before taking ibuprofen. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

    Ibuprofen Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include: severe stomach pain, coffee ground-like vomit, unusually fast or slow heartbeat, trouble breathing, extreme drowsiness, loss of consciousness, or seizures.

    Ibuprofen special notes: do not share this medication with others. Laboratory and/or medical tests may be performed periodically to monitor you're progress or check for side effects. Consult your pharmacist for more following text.

    If you missed Ibuprofen dose: If you prescribed this drug on regular schedule (not just 'as needed') & you miss dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near time about the following dose, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.

    Ibuprofen Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C) away from light & moisture. do not store in the bathroom. Keep every medicines away from children & pets.
