Warning: do not use oral and/or injectable ketorolac for mild or chronic pain nor should theyre combined use go longer than 5 days. Use only amount prescribed. do not use this drug if you are in labor, breast-feeding, have stomach problems (e.g., peptic ulcer), major kidney problems, bleeding problems, severe dehydration, or if you having surgery. do not use ketorolac while using aspirin or other NSAIDs (e.g., ibuprofen). 'Blood thinners' (e.g., heparin, warfarin) must be used with extreme caution. don't use ketorolac if you are allergic to aspirin, NSAID or ketorolac itself. Elderly patients, those weighing less than 110-lbs (50kg), & those with mild kidney problems require smaller doses. Consult your pharmacist.

Toradol Usage: Ketorolac is nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that relieves pain and reduces swelling. this is used to treat moderate to severe pain usually after surgery.
How to use Toradol: Oral ketorolac should be used only after you have already used injectable form of ketorolac. If you have been prescribed oral form of ketorolac without first having received injectable form, promptly consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Though it is very unlikely to occur, severe allergic reaction is possible after taking 1'st dose (see Side Effects section--allergic reaction). Canadian manufacturer of toradol states that it may be used instead of IV form; i.e., your entire therapy may be with the oral form of toradol. Take it medication as directed. do not increase you're dose or take it more often then prescribed without your doctor's approval. this med is used since only a short period of clock. combined use about injectable ketorolac & oral ketorolac shouldnot exceed 5 days. Take this medication with food, milk or antacids to prevent stomach upset. Take this med with 6 to 8 ounces (180-240ml) of water. do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking this drug.
Toradol side effects: Stomach upset is most common side effect. Vomiting, bloating, gas, loss of appetite, dizziness, drowsiness, blurred vision, may also occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, contact you're physician or pharmacist promptly. Inform your doctor promptly if you develop: ringing in the ear, vision changes. If you notice any of following unlikely but very serious side effects, stop taking this med & consult your doctor or pharmacist immediately: black stools, persistent stomach/ abdominal pain, vomit that looks like coffee grounds. in unlikely series you have an allergic reaction to it drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre physician or physician.
Toradol Precautions: Tell your pharmacist your medical history especially: liver disease, kidney disease, blood disorders, ulcers, heart disease, alcohol use, high blood pressure, eye disease, asthma, nasal polyps, any allergies - especially aspirin/NSAID allergy (e.g., ibuprofen, celecoxib). Use caution when performing tasks requiring alertness. Limit alcohol intake as it may intensify the drowsiness effect about this medication. this medicine may cause stomach bleeding. daily use about alcohol, especially when combined with this medicine, may increase you're risk for stomach bleeding. money with your doctor or physician for more info. do not take aspirin with out consulting your doctor. money ingredients of any nonprescription tablet you may be taking since many cough-and-cold formulas contain aspirin. Infrequently, this pill may increase the skin's sensitivity to sunlight. If this happens to you, avoid prolonged sun exposure, wear protective clothing, & use sunscreen. Avoid sunlamps. Caution is advised when this drug is used in elderly. this medication should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Discuss risks and benefits with your doctor. Use about this drug during last 6 months about pregnancy is not recommended. it drug is excreted into breast milk. Consult you're pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Toradol med interactions: Tell youre healthcare professional of all prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use, especially: 'blood thinners' (e.g., warfarin), other arthritis medication (including aspirin), 'water pills', lithium, probenecid. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Toradol Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include severe stomach pain, coffee ground-like vomit, dark stool, ringing in ears, change in amount of urine, unusually fast or slow heartbeat, muscle weakness, slow or shallow breathing, confusion, severe headache or loss of consciousness.
Toradol special notes: do not share this medication with others.
If you missed Toradol dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take if Its almost clock for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule.
Toradol Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight and moisture. do not store in bathroom.
