V R Ibuprofen Usage: Ibuprofen is nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medication (NSAID), which relieves pain & swelling (inflammation). it is used to treat headaches, muscle aches, backaches, dental pain, menstrual cramps, arthritis, or athletic injuries. this medication is also used to reduce fever & to relieve minor aches and pain due to the common cold or flu. it drug works by blocking the enzyme in some your body that makes prostaglandins. Decreasing prostaglandins helps to reduce pain, swelling, and fever.
How to use V R Ibuprofen: Take this medication by mouth with full glass (8 oz or 240 ml) of water unless your pharmacist directs you otherwise. do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking it drug. If stomach upset occurs while taking this med, take it with food, milk, or an antacid. the dosage is based on you're medical condition & response to therapy. If repeat doses needed, they usually given 6 or 8 hours apart; or as directed by you're healthcare professional. When ibuprofen is used in children, the dose is based on youre child's weight. Read product instructions to find appropriate dose for your child's weight. Consult pharmacist or healthcare professional if you have questions or if you need help in choosing the appropriate dosage form. in certain conditions (e.g., arthritis), it may take up to two weeks, taken regularly, before full benefits of this drug take effect. If you use this medication for migraine headache, & pain is not relieved or worsens after 1'st dose, tell your physician immediately. for nonprescription ibuprofen products: If you are treating yourself or giving this drug to child for undiagnosed fever or pain, consult doctor immediately if symptoms do not improve within 24 hours, worsen or last for more than 3 days, or if new symptoms appear.
V R Ibuprofen side effects: Upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, headache, diarrhea, constipation, drowsiness, & dizziness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify you're pharmacist or pharmacist promptly. Tell your physician immediately if any about these serious side effects occur: stomach pain, swelling about the hands or feet, sudden or unexplained weight gain, ringing in the ears (tinnitus). Tell some your healthcare professional immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: vision changes, rapid or pounding heartbeat, easy bruising or bleeding. Tell your physician immediately if any of these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: change in amount about urine, severe headache, very stiff neck, mental/mood changes, persistent sore throat or fever. this drug may infrequently cause serious (rarely fatal) bleeding from the stomach or intestines. If you notice any of the following unlikely but very serious side effects, stop taking ibuprofen & consult some your doctor or doctor immediately: black stools, persistent stomach/abdominal pain, vomit that looks like coffee grounds. this med may rarely cause serious (possibly fatal) liver disease. If you notice any of following highly unlikely but very serious side effects, stop taking ibuprofen and consult your healthcare professional or healthcare professional immediately: yellowing eyes & skin, dark urine, unusual/extreme tiredness. An allergic reaction to this medication is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or healthcare professional.
V R Ibuprofen Precautions: this medication should not be used if you have certain medical conditions. Before using it medicine, consult your pharmacist or pharmacist if you have: severe kidney disease, allergies to aspirin or other NSAIDs (e.g., naproxen, celecoxib). Before using this medication, tell your healthcare professional or doctor your medical history, especially about: kidney disease, liver disease, poorly controlled diabetes, stomach problems (e.g., bleeding, ulcers), heart disease (e.g., congestive heart failure), high blood pressure, swelling (edema, fluid retention), dehydration, blood disorders (e.g., anemia), bleeding or clotting problems, asthma, growths in nose (nasal polyps), history of an allergic reaction with symptoms of lip/tongue/throat swelling (angioedema), any allergies in addition to those listed above. this drug may make you dizzy or drowsy; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcoholic beverages. this medicine may cause stomach bleeding. daily use about alcohol & tobacco, especially when combined with it medicine, may increase your risk for stomach bleeding. Consult your pharmacist or pharmacist for more information. it med may make you more sensitive to the sun. Avoid prolonged sun exposure, tanning booths or sunlamps. Use a sunscreen & wear protective clothing when outdoors. Caution is advised when using this drug at the elderly because they may be more sensitive to the side effects about drug, especially stomach bleeding & kidney effects. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during 1st 6 months of pregnancy. it is not recommended for use during last 3 months about pregnancy due to potential for serious harm & interference with normal labor/delivery. Discuss risks & benefits with your healthcare professional. this tablet passes into breast milk. While there have been no reports about harm to nursing infants, consult youre healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
V R Ibuprofen medication interactions: Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription & nonprescription products you may use, especially about: alendronate, other medications since arthritis (e.g., aspirin, methotrexate), 'blood thinners' (e.g., warfarin), corticosteroids (e.g., prednisone), cyclosporine, high blood pressure drugs (including ACE inhibitors such as captopril, angiotensin II receptor antagonists such as losartan, & beta-blockers such as metoprolol), lithium, other NSAIDs (e.g., naproxen, celecoxib), 'water pills' (diuretics such as furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide, triamterene). bucks all prescription & nonprescription medicine labels carefully since many contain pain relievers/fever reducers (NSAIDs such as aspirin or naproxen) which similar to this drug. If you are also taking aspirin, as prescribed by your healthcare professional for reasons such as heart attack or stroke prevention (usually these dosages are 81-325 mg per day), continue to take the aspirin & consult your physician or pharmacist before taking ibuprofen. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
V R Ibuprofen Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: severe stomach pain, coffee ground-like vomit, unusually fast or slow heartbeat, trouble breathing, extreme drowsiness, loss of consciousness, or seizures.

If you missed V R Ibuprofen dose: If you prescribed this drug on regular schedule (not just 'as needed') & you miss dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near clock of the next dose, skip missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.
