    Motrin Ib Usage: Ibuprofen is nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory pill (NSAID), which relieves pain & swelling (inflammation). it is used to treat headaches, muscle aches, backaches, dental pain, menstrual cramps, arthritis, or athletic injuries. this medication is also used to reduce fever and to relieve minor aches & pain due to the common cold or flu. this drug works by blocking the enzyme in your body that makes prostaglandins. Decreasing prostaglandins helps to reduce pain, swelling, & fever.

    How to use Motrin Ib: Take this medication by mouth with full glass (8 oz or 240 ml) of water unless your doctor directs you otherwise. do not lie down since at least 30 minutes after taking it drug. If stomach upset occurs while taking this medication, take this with food, milk, or an antacid. the dosage is based on your medical condition & response to therapy. If repeat doses are needed, they are usually given 6 or 8 hours apart; or as directed by your doctor. When ibuprofen is used in children, dose is based on youre child's weight. Read product instructions to find appropriate dose for your child's weight. Consult pharmacist or physician if you have questions or if you need help in choosing the appropriate dosage form. in certain conditions (e.g., arthritis), it may take up to two weeks, taken regularly, before full benefits about this medication take effect. If you use this med for migraine headache, & the pain is not relieved or worsens after the 1-st dose, tell your doctor immediately. since nonprescription ibuprofen products: If you treating yourself or giving this med to children for undiagnosed fever or pain, consult physician immediately if symptoms do not improve within 24 hours, worsen or last since more than 3 days, or if new symptoms appear.

    Motrin Ib side effects: Upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, headache, diarrhea, constipation, drowsiness, & dizziness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify some your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: stomach pain, swelling of the hands or feet, sudden or unexplained weight gain, ringing in ears (tinnitus). Tell your pharmacist immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: vision changes, rapid or pounding heartbeat, simple bruising or bleeding. Tell you're healthcare professional immediately if any of these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: change in amount of urine, severe headache, very stiff neck, mental/mood changes, persistent sore throat or fever. this med may infrequently cause serious (rarely fatal) bleeding from the stomach or intestines. If you notice any about following unlikely but very serious side effects, stop taking ibuprofen & consult your doctor or pharmacist immediately: black stools, persistent stomach/abdominal pain, vomit that looks like coffee grounds. this tablet may rarely cause serious (possibly fatal) liver disease. If you notice any about the following highly unlikely but very serious side effects, stop taking ibuprofen and consult your physician or pharmacist immediately: yellowing eyes & skin, dark urine, unusual/extreme tiredness. An allergic reaction to this tablet is unlikely, but seek immediate healthcare attention if it occurs. Symptoms about an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your pharmacist or pharmacist.

    Motrin Ib Precautions: it medication shouldn't be used if you have certain medical conditions. Before using this medicine, consult your pharmacist or physician if you have: severe kidney disease, allergies to aspirin or other NSAIDs (e.g., naproxen, celecoxib). Before using this tablet, tell your doctor or doctor your medical history, especially of: kidney disease, liver disease, poorly controlled diabetes, stomach problems (e.g., bleeding, ulcers), heart disease (e.g., congestive heart failure), HBP, swelling (edema, fluid retention), dehydration, blood disorders (e.g., anemia), bleeding or clotting problems, asthma, growths in nose (nasal polyps), history about an allergic reaction with symptoms of lip/tongue/throat swelling (angioedema), any allergies at addition to those listed above. this med may make you dizzy or drowsy; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcoholic beverages. it medicine may cause stomach bleeding. daily use about alcohol & tobacco, especially when combined with this medicine, may increase your risk for stomach bleeding. Consult some your pharmacist or physician for more information. this medication may make you more sensitive to sun. Avoid prolonged sun exposure, tanning booths or sunlamps. Use sunscreen & wear protective clothing when outdoors. Caution is advised when using this drug in the elderly because they may be more sensitive to the side effects of the drug, especially stomach bleeding & kidney effects. this drug should be used only when clearly needed during the 1-st 6 months of pregnancy. it isnt recommended for use during last 3 months of pregnancy due to the potential for serious harm & interference with normal labor/delivery. Discuss risks and benefits with youre doctor. it medication passes into breast milk. While there have been no reports about harm to nursing infants, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

    Motrin Ib tablet interactions: Before using this drug, tell your pharmacist or doctor of all prescription & nonprescription products you may use, especially about: alendronate, other medications for arthritis (e.g., aspirin, methotrexate), 'blood thinners' (e.g., warfarin), corticosteroids (e.g., prednisone), cyclosporine, high blood pressure drugs (including ACE inhibitors such as captopril, angiotensin II receptor antagonists such as losartan, & beta-blockers such as metoprolol), lithium, other NSAIDs (e.g., naproxen, celecoxib), 'water pills' (diuretics such as furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide, triamterene). money every prescription and nonprescription medicine labels carefully since many contain pain relievers/fever reducers (NSAIDs such as aspirin or naproxen) which are similar to this med. If you also taking aspirin, as prescribed by some your physician for reasons such as heart attack or stroke prevention (usually these dosages 81-325 mg per day), continue to take aspirin and consult youre physician or pharmacist before taking ibuprofen. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.

    Motrin Ib Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: severe stomach pain, coffee ground-like vomit, unusually quick or slow heartbeat, trouble breathing, extreme drowsiness, loss of consciousness, or seizures.

    Motrin Ib special notes: do not share this drug with others. Laboratory and/or medical tests may be performed periodically to monitor youre progress or cash for side effects. Consult your doctor for more details.

    If you missed Motrin Ib dose: If you are prescribed this drug on regular schedule (not just 'as needed') & you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If Its near time of the next dose, skip the missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. don't double dose to catch up.

    Motrin Ib Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C) away from light & moisture. do not store in the bathroom. Keep all medicines away from children & pets.
