Numobid Dx Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant. this combination med is used to treat cough associated with the common cold, allergies & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Numobid Dx: Take it medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take it more often than directed. Capsules & long-acting tablets must be swallowed whole with full glass of water. do not crush or chew them. long action will be destroyed and the chance of side effects will be increased.
Numobid Dx side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur the 1'st few days as your body adjusts to medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre pharmacist. Notify your healthcare professional if you develop any of these effects while taking this medication: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if it medication makes you feel dizzy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Numobid Dx Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially about: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your doctor. since small amounts of this medication are found at breast milk, consult you're doctor before breast-feeding.
Numobid Dx drug interactions: Tell your doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Numobid Dx Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, & seizures.
Numobid Dx special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking it drug. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Numobid Dx dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if It's near the time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Numobid Dx Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
