    Menadol Usage: Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), which relieves pain & swelling (inflammation). this is used to treat headaches, muscle aches, backaches, dental pain, menstrual cramps, arthritis, or athletic injuries. this medication is also used to reduce fever and to relieve minor aches and pain due to common cold or flu. this drug works by blocking enzyme at your body that makes prostaglandins. Decreasing prostaglandins helps to reduce pain, swelling, and fever.

    How to use Menadol: Take this med by mouth with full glass (8 oz or 240 ml) of water unless some your doctor directs you otherwise. do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking this medication. If stomach upset occurs while taking this medication, take it with food, milk, or an antacid. dosage is based on your medical condition & response to therapy. If repeat doses are needed, they usually given six or 8 hours apart; or as directed by youre pharmacist. When ibuprofen is used in children, the dose is based on you're child's weight. Read the product instructions to find the appropriate dose for you're child's weight. Consult pharmacist or physician if you have questions or if you need help in choosing the appropriate dosage form. in certain conditions (e.g., arthritis), it may take up to 2 weeks, taken regularly, before full benefits of this drug take effect. If you use it tablet for migraine headache, & pain is not relieved or worsens after 1st dose, tell your pharmacist immediately. for nonprescription ibuprofen goods: If you are treating yourself or giving it drug to a children for undiagnosed fever or pain, consult doctor immediately if symptoms do not improve within 24 hours, worsen or last for more than 3 days, or if new symptoms appear.

    Menadol side effects: Upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, headache, diarrhea, constipation, drowsiness, & dizziness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify some your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: stomach pain, swelling of hands or feet, sudden or unexplained weight gain, ringing in ears (tinnitus). Tell youre doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: vision changes, rapid or pounding heartbeat, easy bruising or bleeding. Tell your pharmacist immediately if any about these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: change in amount of urine, severe headache, very stiff neck, mental/mood changes, persistent sore throat or fever. this med may infrequently cause serious (rarely fatal) bleeding from the stomach or intestines. If you notice any of following unlikely but very serious side effects, stop taking ibuprofen & consult youre doctor or pharmacist immediately: black stools, persistent stomach/abdominal pain, vomit that looks like coffee grounds. this drug may sometimes cause serious (possibly fatal) liver disease. If you notice any of following highly unlikely but very serious side effects, stop taking ibuprofen & consult your pharmacist or pharmacist immediately: yellowing eyes & skin, dark urine, unusual/extreme tiredness. An allergic reaction to this tablet is unlikely, but seek immeditial healthcare attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.

    Menadol Precautions: this drug must not be used if you have certain medical conditions. Before using it medicine, consult your pharmacist or healthcare professional if you have: severe kidney disease, allergies to aspirin or other NSAIDs (e.g., naproxen, celecoxib). Before using it medication, tell your healthcare professional or pharmacist your medical history, especially about: kidney disease, liver disease, poorly controlled diabetes, stomach problems (e.g., bleeding, ulcers), heart disease (e.g., congestive heart failure), high blood pressure, swelling (edema, fluid retention), dehydration, blood disorders (e.g., anemia), bleeding or clotting problems, asthma, growths in the nose (nasal polyps), history of an allergic reaction with symptoms of lip/tongue/throat swelling (angioedema), any allergies in addition to those listed above. this drug may make you dizzy or drowsy; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcoholic beverages. it medicine can cause stomach bleeding. per day use of alcohol & tobacco, especially when combined with it medicine, may increase your risk for stomach bleeding. Consult your doctor or healthcare professional since more information. this drug may make you more sensitive to sun. Avoid prolonged sun exposure, tanning booths or sunlamps. Use a sunscreen and wear protective clothing when outdoors. Caution is advised when using this drug in elderly because they may be more sensitive to side effects of drug, especially stomach bleeding and kidney effects. this drug must be used only when clearly needed during the 1st 6 months of pregnancy. it is not recommended for use during the last 3 months of pregnancy due to the potential for fetal harm & interference with normal labor/delivery. Discuss the risks and benefits with youre pharmacist. this pill passes into breast milk. While they're have been no reports about harm to nursing infants, consult youre healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

    Menadol medication interactions: Before using it medication, tell your physician or pharmacist of every prescription & nonprescription products you may use, especially of: alendronate, other medications for arthritis (e.g., aspirin, methotrexate), 'blood thinners' (e.g., warfarin), corticosteroids (e.g., prednisone), cyclosporine, high blood pressure drugs (including ACE inhibitors such as captopril, angiotensin II receptor antagonists such as losartan, and beta-blockers such as metoprolol), lithium, other NSAIDs (e.g., naproxen, celecoxib), 'water pills' (diuretics such as furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide, triamterene). cash every prescription & nonprescription medicine labels carefully since many contain pain relievers/fever reducers (NSAIDs such as aspirin or naproxen) which are similar to this drug. If you are also taking aspirin, as prescribed by youre doctor since reasons such as heart attack or stroke prevention (usually these dosages are 81-325 mg per day), continue to take aspirin & consult your pharmacist or physician before taking ibuprofen. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.

    Menadol Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: severe stomach pain, coffee ground-like vomit, unusually fast or slow heartbeat, trouble breathing, extreme drowsiness, loss of consciousness, or seizures.

    Menadol special notes: don't share this medication with others. Laboratory and/or medical tests may be performed periodically to monitor your progress or dollars for side effects. Consult your physician for more details.

    If you missed Menadol dose: If you prescribed this drug on regular schedule (not just 'as needed') & you miss dose, use this as soon as you remember. If It's near the clock about next dose, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double the dose to catch up.

    Menadol Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C) away from light & moisture. do not store in bathroom. Keep all medicines away from child and pets.
