Advil Migraine Usage: Ibuprofen is nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), which relieves pain & swelling (inflammation). it is used to treat headaches, muscle aches, backaches, dental pain, menstrual cramps, arthritis, or athletic injuries. this medication is also used to reduce fever & to relieve minor aches & pain due to the common cold or flu. this drug works by blocking enzyme in your body that makes prostaglandins. Decreasing prostaglandins helps to reduce pain, swelling, & fever.
How to use Advil Migraine: Take this drug by mouth with full glass (8 oz or 240 ml) of water unless your doctor directs you otherwise. don't lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking this medication. If stomach upset occurs while taking this medication, take it with food, milk, or an antacid. dosage is based on your medical condition & response to therapy. If repeat doses needed, they usually given 6 or 8 hours apart; or as directed by your physician. When ibuprofen is used at children, dose is based on your child's weight. Read product instructions to find the appropriate dose for your child's weight. Consult pharmacist or healthcare professional if you have questions or if you need help in choosing appropriate dosage form. in certain conditions (e.g., arthritis), it may take up to 2 weeks, taken regularly, before full benefits of this drug take effect. Advil Migraine side effects: Upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, headache, diarrhea, constipation, drowsiness, & dizziness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Tell your physician immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: stomach pain, swelling of the hands or feet, sudden or unexplained weight gain, ringing at the ears (tinnitus). Tell your pharmacist immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: vision changes, rapid or pounding heartbeat, simple bruising or bleeding. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: change in amount of urine, severe headache, very stiff neck, mental/mood changes, persistent sore throat or fever. this pill may infrequently cause serious (rarely fatal) bleeding from stomach or intestines. If you notice any about the following unlikely but very serious side effects, stop taking ibuprofen & consult your physician or healthcare professional immediately: black stools, persistent stomach/abdominal pain, vomit that looks like coffee grounds. it medication may rarely cause serious (possibly fatal) liver disease. If you notice any of the following highly unlikely but very serious side effects, stop taking ibuprofen & consult youre doctor or healthcare professional immediately: yellowing eyes & skin, dark urine, unusual/extreme tiredness. An allergic reaction to it drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or pharmacist.
Advil Migraine Precautions: this med shouldn't be used if you have certain medical conditions. Before using this medicine, consult your pharmacist or pharmacist if you have: severe kidney disease, allergies to aspirin or other NSAIDs (e.g., naproxen, celecoxib). Consult you're healthcare professional or physician for more information. this medication may make you more sensitive to the sun. Avoid prolonged sun exposure, tanning booths or sunlamps. Use sunscreen & wear protective clothing when outdoors. Caution is advised when using it drug in elderly because they may be more sensitive to side effects of drug, especially stomach bleeding & kidney effects. this med should be used only when clearly needed during 1st 6 months of pregnancy. It's not recommended for use during last 3 months of pregnancy due to potential for serious harm & interference with normal labor/delivery. Discuss risks & benefits with your healthcare professional. this medication passes at to breast milk. While there have been no reports about harm to nursing infants, consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Advil Migraine drug interactions: Before using this drug, tell youre pharmacist or pharmacist of every prescription & nonprescription goods you may use, especially about: alendronate, other pills for arthritis (e.g., aspirin, methotrexate), 'blood thinners' (e.g., warfarin), corticosteroids (e.g., prednisone), cyclosporine, HBP meds (including ACE inhibitors such as captopril, angiotensin II receptor antagonists such as losartan, & beta-blockers such as metoprolol), lithium, another NSAIDs (e.g., naproxen, celecoxib), 'water pills' (diuretics such as furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide, triamterene). check every prescription & nonprescription medicine labels carefully since much contain pain relievers/fever reducers (NSAIDs such as aspirin or naproxen) which similar to this drug. Advil Migraine Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: severe stomach pain, coffee ground-like vomit, unusually quick or slow heartbeat, trouble breathing, extreme drowsiness, loss about consciousness, or seizures.

If you missed Advil Migraine dose: If you prescribed this medication on a regular schedule (not just 'as needed') and you miss dose, use it as soon as you remember. If It's near time of next dose, skip the missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.
