Midol Cramp Usage: Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), which relieves pain and swelling (inflammation). this is used to treat headaches, muscle aches, backaches, dental pain, menstrual cramps, arthritis, or athletic injuries. it drug is also used to reduce fever & to relieve minor aches & pain due to common cold or flu. this drug works by blocking enzyme in your body that makes prostaglandins. Decreasing prostaglandins helps to reduce pain, swelling, & fever.
How to use Midol Cramp: Take it med by mouth with full glass (8 oz or 240 ml) of water unless your doctor directs you otherwise. do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking this med. If stomach upset occurs while taking this medication, take it with food, milk, or an antacid. dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy. If repeat doses are needed, they usually given 6 or 8 hours apart; or as directed by your healthcare professional. When ibuprofen is used in children, the dose is based on you're child's weight. Read product instructions to find appropriate dose for your child's weight. Consult pharmacist or healthcare professional if you have questions or if you need help in choosing appropriate dosage form. at certain conditions (e.g., arthritis), it may take up to two weeks, taken regularly, before full benefits about this pill take effect. If you use this tablet for migraine headache, & the pain isn't relieved or worsens after the 1'st dose, tell some your doctor immediately. for nonprescription ibuprofen products: If you are treating yourself or giving this medication to a child for undiagnosed fever or pain, consult pharmacist immediately if symptoms do not improve within 24 hours, worsen or last for more than 3 days, or if new symptoms appear.
Midol Cramp side effects: Upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, headache, diarrhea, constipation, drowsiness, & dizziness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your physician or healthcare professional promptly. Tell your pharmacist immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: stomach pain, swelling about hands or feet, sudden or unexplained weight gain, ringing in the ears (tinnitus). Tell you're doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: vision changes, rapid or pounding heartbeat, easy bruising or bleeding. Tell youre physician immediately if any about these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: change in amount of urine, severe headache, very stiff neck, mental/mood changes, persistent sore throat or fever. this drug may infrequently cause serious (rarely fatal) bleeding from stomach or intestines. If you notice any of following unlikely but very serious side effects, stop taking ibuprofen and consult your physician or pharmacist immediately: black stools, persistent stomach/abdominal pain, vomit that looks like coffee grounds. it drug may rarely cause serious (possibly fatal) liver disease. If you notice any of following highly unlikely but very serious side effects, stop taking ibuprofen & consult your pharmacist or physician immediately: yellowing eyes and skin, dark urine, unusual/extreme tiredness. An allergic reaction to it drug is unlikely, but seek immeditial medical attention if this occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.
Midol Cramp Precautions: this tablet should not be used if you have certain medical conditions. Before using this medicine, consult your healthcare professional or healthcare professional if you have: severe kidney disease, allergies to aspirin or other NSAIDs (e.g., naproxen, celecoxib). Before using this drug, tell your pharmacist or doctor you're medical history, especially of: kidney disease, liver disease, poorly controlled diabetes, stomach problems (e.g., bleeding, ulcers), heart disease (e.g., congestive heart failure), HBP, swelling (edema, fluid retention), dehydration, blood disorders (e.g., anemia), bleeding or clotting problems, asthma, growths in the nose (nasal polyps), history of an allergic reaction with symptoms of lip/tongue/throat swelling (angioedema), any allergies in addition to those listed above. this medication may make you dizzy or drowsy; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcoholic beverages. it medicine may cause stomach bleeding. daily use about alcohol & tobacco, especially when combined with this medicine, may increase your risk for stomach bleeding. Consult your pharmacist or physician for more info. this medication may make you more sensitive to sun. Avoid prolonged sun exposure, tanning booths or sunlamps. Use a sunscreen & wear protective clothing when outdoors. Caution is advised when using it medication in elderly because they may be more sensitive to the side effects about med, especially stomach bleeding & kidney effects. this pill must be used only when clearly needed during the first six months about pregnancy. it is not recommended for use during last 3 months about pregnancy due to potential for serious harm & interference with normal labor/delivery. Discuss the risks & benefits with your healthcare professional. this medication passes into breast milk. While their have been no reports about harm to nursing infants, consult some your doctor before breast-feeding.
Midol Cramp drug interactions: Before using it drug, tell your physician or pharmacist of all prescription & nonprescription products you may use, especially of: alendronate, other tablets for arthritis (e.g., aspirin, methotrexate), 'blood thinners' (e.g., warfarin), corticosteroids (e.g., prednisone), cyclosporine, high blood pressure drugs (including ACE inhibitors such as captopril, angiotensin II receptor antagonists such as losartan, & beta-blockers such as metoprolol), lithium, another NSAIDs (e.g., naproxen, celecoxib), 'water pills' (diuretics such as furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide, triamterene). money every prescription and nonprescription medicine labels carefully for many contain pain relievers/fever reducers (NSAIDs such as aspirin or naproxen) which similar to this medication. If you also taking aspirin, as prescribed by your physician for reasons such as heart attack or stroke prevention (usually these dosages are 81-325 mg per day), continue to take the aspirin and consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking ibuprofen. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Midol Cramp Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: severe stomach pain, coffee ground-like vomit, unusually fast or slow heartbeat, trouble breathing, extreme drowsiness, loss about consciousness, or seizures.

If you missed Midol Cramp dose: If you prescribed this drug on a regular schedule (not just 'as needed') and you miss dose, use it as soon as you remember. If this is near the time of following dose, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.
