Cough Syrup Usage: this drug is used to relieve dry cough & helps to loosen phlegm & mucous in the lungs so you can 'cough-up' (expectorate) mucous.
How to use Cough Syrup: Take each dose about this medication with a full glass of water. Water will also help break-up the mucous & clear congestion. Drink plenty about fluids while taking this drug, unless youre doctor instructs you otherwise. do not take it medication for a chronic, persistent cough such as occurs with smoking or asthma unless directed by your pharmacist. If cough lasts for more than one week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by fever, headache or rash, consult your physician.
Cough Syrup side effects: this drug may cause stomach upset or rash. If these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your physician or pharmacist.
Cough Syrup Precautions: If you have any of the following health problems, consult your healthcare professional before using this drug: breathing problems such as emphysema/chronic bronchitis/asthma, smoking, any allergies. this tablet should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your physician. It's not known if this med is excreted into breast milk. Consult youre doctor before breast-feeding.
Cough Syrup drug interactions: Tell you're physician about every medicines you may use, (both prescription and nonprescription), especially: other cough-and-cold medicines. Guaifenesin may affect results of certain lab tests. Be sure your caregivers aware you use it medicine before lab tests performed. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or physician approval.
Cough Syrup Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, fatigue, weakness, dizziness, & unusually slow heartbeat.

If you missed Cough Syrup dose: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't double the dose to catch up.
Cough Syrup Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. don't store in the bathroom. do not freeze liquid forms of this medication. do not store syrup in refrigerator.
