Steroid and antibiotic eye drops
Metimyd Usage: this medication is used to treat eye infections.
How to use Metimyd: for maximum effect, this medication must be used routinely as prescribed. Continue using it for full time prescribed. Stopping it drug too soon may not clear the infection and could result in relapse of the infection. If product is a suspension, shake it well before each dose. To apply eye drops, wash hands first. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch the dropper tip or let it touch youre eye or any other surface. Tilt your head back, gaze upward and pull down lower eyelid to make pouch. Place dropper directly over eye & administer the prescribed number of drops. see downward & gently close your eye for 1 to two minutes. Place one finger at corner about eye near the nose and apply gentle pressure. this will prevent the pill from draining away from eye. Try not to blink and do not rub eye. don't rinse the dropper. If you using other kind of eye drop, wait in least five minutes before applying other medications.
Metimyd side effects: this med may temporarily sting your eyes for minute or two when you 1st use it. If stinging persists or worsens, inform you're pharmacist promptly. Tell youre healthcare professional immediately if you have any of these unlikely but serious side effects: vision changes. If using eye drops with chloramphenicol, notify your doctor immediately if you experience: persistent sore throat, fever, easy bleeding or bruising. An allergic reaction to it drug is unlikely, but seek immediate healthcare attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling (including in or near eyes), dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or physician.
Metimyd Precautions: Tell you're healthcare professional your medical history, especially about: eye surgeries, eye problems, contact lens use, any allergies. Vision may be temporarily blurred or unstable after applying eye drops. Use caution if driving or performing duties requiring clear vision. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your doctor. It's not known if it form of it tablet passes into breast milk in large enough amounts to affect nursing infant. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Metimyd drug interactions: Tell some your pharmacist or healthcare professional about every prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use, especially of: other eye medicines. do not start or stop any medicine with-out pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
Metimyd Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Metimyd special notes: it medication has been prescribed for you're current condition only. do not use it later for another infection or give this to someone else. different medication may be necessary.
If you missed Metimyd dose: If you miss dose, apply this as soon as remembered; do not use if Its almost clock for next dose. Instead, skip the missed dose and resume youre usual dosing schedule. don't double dose to catch up.
Metimyd Storage: Store eye drops in a cool, dark place away from moisture & sunlight. don't store in the bathroom. do not freeze. Discard solution (but not suspension) if it turns cloudy or contains particles.
