    Emedastine - ophthalmic solution

    common brand names: Emadine

    Emadine Usage: it medication is used to relieve redness, itching and tearing of eyes due to hay fever (allergic conjunctivitis). this med should not be used to treat contact lens-related irritation.

    How to use Emadine: To apply eye drops, wash hands first. To avoid contamination, don't touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface. for best results, this tablet must be used routinely as directed. Continue using it for the full time prescribed. If you are wearing contact lenses, remove them before using eye drops. then tilt your head back, gaze upward and pull down lower eyelid to make pouch. Place dropper directly over eye & administer prescribed number of drops. see downward & gently close some your eye since 1 to 2 minutes. Place one finger at corner of eye near the nose and apply gentle pressure. it will prevent medication from draining away from eye. Try not to blink and don't rub eye. do not rinse dropper. Replace cap after use. If you using another kind of eye drop, wait at least five minutes before applying other medications. Administer eye drops before eye ointments, to allow eye drops to enter the eye. don't use if solution is discolored. Soft contact lenses should not be inserted within 10 minutes after using eye drops; otherwise preservative in the drops may be absorbed by lens. this product is for use in eyes only.

    Emadine side effects: Headache, bad taste, runny nose or dry eyes may occur. If these persist or worsen, notify some your doctor. Tell your pharmacist immediately if you have any of these unlikely but serious side effects: weakness, blurred vision, burning or stinging eyes, itchy eyes, stained eyes. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or doctor.

    Emadine Precautions: Tell your physician you're medical history, especially of: other eye problems, allergies (especially drug allergies). do not wear contact lenses if some your eye is red; consult your healthcare professional or doctor for more info. Tell you're pharmacist if you are pregnant before using it drug. it is not known whether it drug passes into breast milk. Consult you're doctor before breast-feeding.

    Emadine drug interactions: Tell youre healthcare professional of every prescription & nonprescription drugs you may use, especially of: other eye medications. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or healthcare professional approval.

    Emadine Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

    Emadine special notes: do not share it medication with others.

    If you missed Emadine dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as you remember. If It's near the time of next dose, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

    Emadine Storage: Store at room temperature between 38 & 86 degrees F (4-30 degrees C) away from light & moisture.
