    Ciprofloxacin ointment - ophthalmic

    Ciloxan Usage: this medication is used for eye infections.

    How to use Ciloxan: To avoid contamination, do not let tube tip touch any surface. Wash your hands before applying this drug. Tilt your head back, gaze upward and pull down the lower eyelid to make pouch. Squeeze prescribed amount of ointment into this pouch. watch downward & gently close youre eye for 1 to 2 minutes. Try not to blink and do not rub eye. the usual dose is 1/2 inch ribbon in to the lower eye lids three time daily since 2 days, than twice daily since following 5 days. Or use as directed by your doctor. don't rinse the tube tip after use. Instead, wipe tip with clean tissue & replace the cap tightly. Continue using it since the full time prescribed. Stopping this drug too soon may result in relapse of the infection. If you using other kinds of eye tablets, wait in least five minutes before applying the other meds.

    Ciloxan side effects: Blurry vision, dry eyes, watery eyes, bad taste in mouth, or eye irritation/stinging may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform youre pharmacist. Notify youre doctor immediately if you develop rash, itching, redness or swelling in or around eyes. this may indicate a med allergy. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact you're healthcare professional or pharmacist.

    Ciloxan Precautions: Tell you're doctor you're medical history, especially of: any allergies, other illnesses, contact lens use. Because vision may be temporarily blurred or unstable after applying this drug, use caution driving or performing activities that require clear vision. Use of this medication for prolonged or repeated periods may result in secondary infection. this drug should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with you're physician. it isnt known if this medication is excreted into breast milk. Consult your physician before breast-feeding.

    Ciloxan drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of all prescription & nonprescription drugs you may use, especially about: other antibiotics, other eye tablets. don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

    Ciloxan Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

    Ciloxan special notes: don't share this drug with others or save it for later use for other infection. another medication may be needed in those cases.

    If you missed Ciloxan dose: If you miss dose, apply this as soon as remembered; do not use if It's almost time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

    Ciloxan Storage: Store at room temperature between 36 and 77 degrees F (2 and 25 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in the bathroom.
