Quixin Usage: Levofloxacin eye drops are used to treat bacterial eye infections.
How to use Quixin: for best results, use exactly as directed by your healthcare professional & since full time prescribed. Stopping this tablet too soon may result in return about the infection. do not wear contact lenses. They may interfere with treatment of your eye infection. To apply eye drops, wash your hands first. To avoid contamination, do not touch dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface. Tilt your head back, gaze upward, & pull down the lower eyelid to make pouch. Place dropper directly over eye & instill prescribed number of drops. watch downward & gently close your eye for 1 to 2 minutes. Place one finger at the corner of eye near the nose & apply gentle pressure. it will prevent medication from draining away from eye. Try not to blink and don't rub the eye. do not rinse the dropper. Replace dropper cap after use. If you using other kind of eye medication (e.g., drops or ointments), wait at least five minutes before applying other medications. Use eye drops before eye ointments, to allow eye drops to enter eye.
Quixin side effects: Vision problems (e.g., temporarily decreased or blurred vision), fever, headache, eye irritation or stinging, swelling about eyelid, eye dryness & itching, or sore throat. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your physician promptly. An allergic reaction to this tablet is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms about an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre pharmacist or healthcare professional.
Quixin Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, including: allergies (especially to quinolone antibiotics such as ciprofloxacin, norfloxacin), contact lens use. Because your vision may be temporarily blurred or decreased after using this medication, use caution driving or performing activities requiring clear vision. Repeated use about this medication or using this for longer time than prescribed by youre healthcare professional may result in different, more serious, infection. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your doctor. Its not known whether it drug passes into breast milk. Because of the potential risk to the infant, breast-feeding while using it medication is not recommended. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Quixin pill interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of all prescription and nonprescription med you may use, especially about: caffeine, theophylline, 'blood thinners' (e.g., warfarin), cyclosporine, other antibiotics, other eye medications. do not start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or physician approval.
Quixin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Quixin special notes: do not share this drug with others or save it for later use since another infection. other med may be needed in those cases.
If you missed Quixin dose: If you miss a dose, use this as soon as you remember. If it is near the time about the next dose, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double the dose to catch up.
Quixin Storage: Store at room temperature between 36 and 86 degrees F (2 to 30 degrees C) away from sunlight and moisture. do not store in the bathroom. Discard solution is if turns brown, cloudy, or if it contains particles.
