Ditropan Xl Usage: this medication is used to treat an overactive bladder.

How to use Ditropan Xl: Take it product by mouth with liquids, generally one time per day, or as directed. Swallow the pill whole; do not chew, crush or divide the tablet. you're dosage will be adjusted based on you're response & any pill side effects.

Ditropan Xl side effects: Dry mouth or eyes, headache, constipation, nausea, or drowsiness may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, notify you're doctor promptly. To relieve dry mouth, suck on (sugarless) hard candy or ice chips, chew (sugarless) gum, drink water or use saliva substitute. Report promptly: weakness, dizziness, vision problems, symptoms of urinary infection (e.g., urinary burning, urgent or frequent urination). Unlikely but report promptly: eye pain, problems urinating, severe stomach pain, chest pain, fast or irregular heartbeat, fever, mental/mood changes, flushing, hot or dry skin. in the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or pharmacist.

Ditropan Xl Precautions: Tell you're pharmacist your medical history, including: allergies, urinary problems (such as urinary retention, prostate enlargement in males), stomach/intestinal disorders (e.g., gastric gastric retention, ulcerative colitis), heartburn (gastric reflux), glaucoma (narrow angle), overactive thyroid, muscle disease (myasthenia gravis), heart problems, liver problems, kidney disease. Limit alcohol intake, as it may aggravate certain side effects of this drug. Caution is advised when performing tasks requiring mental alertness (e.g., driving). this medication reduces sweating which can lead to heat stroke in hot weather or saunas. Avoid strenuous activity in hot weather. Use with caution in elderly, who may be more sensitive to side effects of this pill. Use with extreme caution in young children, who may be more sensitive to side effects about this pill. Tell you're doctor if you are pregnant before using this tablet. It's not known whether this medication is excreted into breast milk. Consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

Ditropan Xl tablet interactions: Tell your pharmacist about all nonprescription & prescription med you may use, especially of: bisphosphonate pills (e.g., alendronate, etidronate), macrolide antibiotics (e.g., erythromycin, clarithromycin, azole antifungals (e.g., ketoconazole, itraconazole, miconazole), anti-Parkinson's drugs (e.g., benztropine, trihexyphenidyl), digoxin, anticholinergic pills (e.g., scopolamine, dicyclomine, tolterodine). Also report other medications which may cause drowsiness, such as: anti-anxiety or anti-seizure drugs, sedatives, tranquilizers, narcotic pain relievers (e.g., codeine), psychiatric medicines (e.g., chlorpromazine, amitriptyline), muscle relaxants, certain antihistamines (e.g., diphenhydramine) including those found in cough-and-cold products. don't start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or pharmacist approval.

Ditropan Xl Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include restlessness, tremor, irritability, flushing, fever, nausea, vomiting, quick heartbeat, and slow breathing.

Ditropan Xl special notes: do not share it drug with others. You may notice shell about the tablet in some your stool. it is due to design of tablet and is normal and harmless.

If you missed Ditropan Xl dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near clock of next dose, skip missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not double the dose to catch up.

Ditropan Xl Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from light & moisture.
