Cervidil Usage: this medication is used to produce an abortion. It's also used for certain conditions of the womb.

How to use Cervidil: this drug is used vaginally. Bring the suppository to room temperature and remove foil before use. the pill is inserted high in the vagina, & you must remain in a reclined or lying down position for two hours after insertion. More doses are given at 3-5 hour intervals until desired effect occurs. this drug is used for maximum of two days.

Cervidil side effects: Vomiting, fever, diarrhea, headache, chills & dizziness may occur. If these persist or worsen, notify some your doctor immediately. Report immediately: fainting, chest pain/tightness, trouble trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or physician.

Cervidil Precautions: Before using this med, tell your pharmacist your medical history, including: allergies (especially drug allergies), pelvic infections, heart disease, kidney problems, liver disease, lung disease, asthma, high or LBP, anemia, diabetes, seizure disorder, infections in vaginal area, womb scarring, previous cesarean section (c-section) birth, uterine surgery. it drug isnt indicated for use if fetus is matur enough to survive apart from the womb. this drug should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your doctor. this is not known whether this drug is excreted in to breast milk. Consult you're physician before breast-feeding.

Cervidil medication interactions: Tell your pharmacist of all nonprescription and prescription medication you may use, especially of: other drugs that can stimulate uterus (oxytocics) such as other prostaglandins (e.g., misoprostol). don't start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.

Cervidil Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
