Klor Con Ef Usage: Potassium plays an important role in the body. It's involved in many functions such as muscle contraction, cell development, nerve stimulation, food metabolism & is critical for normal functioning of the heart and kidneys. this medication is used to treat or prevent low potassium blood levels.

How to use Klor Con Ef: Take it drug as prescribed. Effervescent tablets to be dissolved in four to eight ounces of cold water or juice. Stir & drink slowly. do not swallow effervescent tablets. the med must be dissolved completely in liquid. To prevent stomach upset, take this after meal or with food. Take with full glass of water (8oz or 240ml) unless youre doctor directs you otherwise.

Klor Con Ef side effects: Stomach upset, nausea or diarrhea may occur first several days as youre body adjusts to drug. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. Notify youre doctor if you develop: chest pain, irregular heartbeat, tingling about hands or feet, breathing trouble, unusual weakness or tiredness, stomach pain, black stools. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.

Klor Con Ef Precautions: Be sure your doctor knows you're complete medical history especially of: kidney problems, heart disease, digestion problems, any allergies. this medication should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Potassium supplements not known to appear in breast. milk. Consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

Klor Con Ef drug interactions: Inform your pharmacist about all the medicines you use (both prescription & nonprescription) especially if you take: 'water pills' (diuretics such as furosemide or amiloride), ACE inhibitors (e.g., lisinopril), digoxin, salt substitutes containing potassium. don't start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.

Klor Con Ef Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include irregular heartbeat, blood in stools, & muscle weakness.

Klor Con Ef special notes: super food sources of potassium include bananas, dates, prunes, raisins, avocados, apricots, watermelon, broccoli, brussels sprouts, spinach, beans, potatoes, lentils, meats, fish and shellfish. Salt substitutes contain potassium. don't use salt substitute unless recommended by your pharmacist.

If you missed Klor Con Ef dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered. If it is near the clock for next dose, take both missed dose & the regular scheduled dose, then resume your usual dosing schedule.

Klor Con Ef Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat, light & moisture. do not store at bathroom.
