Magnesium Hydr Aluminum Hydr Usage: this is an antacid that works in the stomach to neutralize & reduce acid. Antacids used to treat an upset stomach caused by heartburn, acid indigestion, or sour stomach; to treat peptic ulcer, hiatal hernia or other conditions caused by an excess of stomach acid; & to prevent ulcers or bleeding from ulcers.

How to use Magnesium Hydr Aluminum Hydr: Take this med as prescribed. Taking too many an antacid can reverse effects & more acid will be secreted. in certain conditions, however, this may be necessary to take antacid as frequently as every 1 to 2 hours. To be effective, chewable tablets must be chewed thoroughly before swallowing followed by full glass about water. Shake liquid forms well before pouring each dose. do not take any other drug within 1 to two hours of taking an antacid. since antacids coat stomach, they can prevent other meds from being absorbed properly if taken at same clock.

Magnesium Hydr Aluminum Hydr side effects: it medication can cause nausea, loss of appetite, constipation or diarrhea, weakness, or headache. If these symptoms persist or become severe, notify your healthcare professional. Notify your physician if you notice black, tarry stools while taking this drug. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or pharmacist.

Magnesium Hydr Aluminum Hydr Precautions: Tell your doctor youre medical history, especially of: kidney problems.

Magnesium Hydr Aluminum Hydr med interactions: Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription meds you may use, especially about: tetracycline, ferrous sulfate (iron), meds used for arthritis (e.g., aspirin, indomethacin), digoxin, isoniazid, pseudoephedrine, diazepam, methenamine, ketoconazole. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.

Magnesium Hydr Aluminum Hydr Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include dizziness, fatigue, weakness, severe nausea & vomiting, loss of appetite, drowsiness, slow or shallow breathing, or loss of consciousness.

Magnesium Hydr Aluminum Hydr special notes: Refrigerating the liquid antacids may improve taste. do not freeze. If you dislike taste of one antacid, talk to your pharmacist or pharmacist about switching to a similar product. liquid antacid forms work faster & more effective than other forms. However, chewable meds may be more convenient.

If you missed Magnesium Hydr Aluminum Hydr dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if Its almost time since next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Magnesium Hydr Aluminum Hydr Storage: Store meds, capsules & powdered forms at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in the bathroom. do not freeze liquid forms of this med.
