Geref Usage: Sermorelin is used to treat growth problems (usually in children) due to growth hormone deficiency. it works by stimulating pituitary gland to release more natural growth hormone.
How to use Geref: Learn how to prepare & inject the drug. Review sermorelin Patient information Insert. If any of the information is unclear, consult your healthcare professional or healthcare professional. When mixing it drug with a saline solution, aim the syringe containing mixing solution (saline) against inside wall of vial; slowly inject solution so this runs down the side of vial & in to pill powder. don't inject the solution directly into medication. Doing so may cause it drug to be ineffective. Gently swirl the mixture until every medication is dissolved completely. do not shake the vial. Inject it med under skin (subcutaneously) usually once per day in bedtime; or use as directed by your pharmacist. the dosage is based on your weight, medical condition, and response to therapy. Before injecting each dose, clean the injection site with rubbing alcohol. this is important to change location of injection site per day to avoid problem areas under skin. Before using, money it product visually since particles or discoloration. If either is present, do not use the liquid. don't mix it medication to be used in later clock. Only use freshly mixed medication. Learn how to store & discard needles and medical supplies safely. Consult you're doctor.
Geref side effects: Pain/swelling/redness of injection site may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify youre doctor. Promptly tell your doctor if any of these unlikely side effects occur: headache, flushing, increase in activity (hyperactivity). Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: trouble swallowing, vomiting, tightness at chest. An allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms about an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Geref Precautions: Tell your pharmacist youre medical history, especially of: thyroid problems (e.g., hypothyroidism), brain disorders (e.g., lesions), any allergies. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your physician. Its not known whether this drug passes in to breast milk. Because of the potential risk to infant, breast-feeding while using it drug isnot recommended. Consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Geref medication interactions: Tell you're doctor of all prescription & nonprescription medication you may use, especially: corticosteroids (e.g., prednisone), thyroid medications (e.g., levothyroxine). this drug may affect results of certain lab tests (e.g., inorganic phosphorus, alkaline phosphatase). Make sure laboratory personnel and your physicians know you use this drug. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Geref Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Geref special notes: do not share this drug with others. Laboratory and/or medical tests (e.g., bone age, height measurement, thyroid hormone levels) may be performed to monitor your progress.
If you missed Geref dose: If you miss a dose, use this as soon as you remember. If it is near time of next dose, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.
Geref Storage: Before mixing, store dry powder vials in refrigerator between 36 & 46 degrees F (2 & 8 degrees C). once mixed, the medication solution should be used immediately. Discard any unused portion of the vials.
