Xylocaine Usage: this medication is an anesthetic which numbs the region it has been applied to. this spray is used in mouth to numb mouth or throat.
How to use Xylocaine: this medication is sprayed in the mouth as directed. To use, shake the container gently. Open your mouth wide & point spray nozzle at site to be numbed. Depress nozzle to spray medication. this pill is since use on the mouth surface. do not swallow or inhale it. Avoid spraying near eyes. Avoid eating or chewing gum for at least 1 hour after use. the risk of choking or biting tongue or cheek is greater when the mouth, tongue or throat numb.
Xylocaine side effects: this drug is generally well tolerated. Minor burning or stinging may occur upon application. If this persists or the region becomes red or swollen, inform your pharmacist. Notify your healthcare professional if you experience: irregular heartbeat, difficult breathing, drowsiness, dizziness, confusion, vision changes, nausea, twitching or tremors. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your doctor or physician.
Xylocaine Precautions: Tell your physician if you have: liver problems, heart disease, allergies (especially to anesthetics). this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with you're healthcare professional. this tablet passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Xylocaine pill interactions: Tell youre doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take. don't start or stop any medicine without physician or healthcare professional approval.
Xylocaine Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Xylocaine special notes: it takes only 1 to 2 minutes for the numbing effect of this medication to occur and it lasts for 10 to 15 minutes.
If you missed Xylocaine dose: If you miss a dose, use this as soon as remembered; don't use it if It's near clock for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Xylocaine Storage: Store spray in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & open flames. Because the contents of canister under pressure, do not puncture or burn this. Keep out of reach about children.
