Xylocaine Usage: it tablet is a topical anesthetic which numbs the mucous membranes (skin) of mouth and throat. it is used to relieve pain and discomfort about certain mouth & throat problems.
How to use Xylocaine: it drug is taken by mouth. Shake the bottle well before measuring each dose carefully. If you taking it since sore mouth, swish drug in your mouth for a minute then spit it out. do not swallow drug. If it is being used for sore throat, gargle with medication for a minute, then swallow it. do not drink water or any liquids right after taking this medication & avoid eating any food for at least 1 hour since it tablet will numb your tongue and affect swallowing. it is important to not eat or chew gum while your mouth is numb to prevent choking or biting you're tongue. do not increase your dose or use this more much about times than prescribed without your doctor's approval.
Xylocaine side effects: Minor stinging, burning and tenderness of the mouth & throat may occur when this is first used. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform you're pharmacist. Notify some your physician if the following effects occur: irritation, rash, redness. Dizziness, lightheadedness, vomiting & seizures have occurred in kid when large amounts about it drug have been swallowed. Use caution when giving it tablet to child. in unlikely part you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immeditial medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, breathing trouble. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your pharmacist or pharmacist.
Xylocaine Precautions: Tell some your physician your medical history especially: heart problems, any infections or open wounds where drug is to be administered, severe liver disease, any allergies. Before using this medication, notify your physician if you pregnant. it med passes into breast milk. Though risk about harm to nursing infant is very small, consult you're doctor before breast-feeding.
Xylocaine drug interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or physician approval.
Xylocaine Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
