Flagyl Er Usage: this form of metronidazole is used for vaginal infections.

Flagyl Er can be used also for: it tablet may also be used for another infections.

How to use Flagyl Er: Take this drug by mouth once daily or as directed by you're pharmacist. Best taken on an empty stomach at least one hour before or 2 hours after a meal. it med must be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them before swallowing. Antibiotics work best when amount of medicine at your body is kept at a constant level. Do this by taking the drug at the same time each day. Continue to take it drug until the full prescribed amount is finished even if symptoms disappear after few days. Stopping medication too early may allow bacteria to continue to grow resulting in a relapse of the infection.

Flagyl Er side effects: Dizziness, headache, diarrhea, nausea, stomach pain, change in taste sensation or dry mouth may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, contact you're physician. Unlikely but report: seizures, loss about consciousness, tingling of hands or feet. Very unlikely but report: unsteadiness, mood/mental changes, rash, itching, sore throat, fever, severe stomach pain, vomiting, vaginal irritation. it pill may cause urine to darken in color. this isnt harmful. in the unlikely series you have an allergic reaction to this med, seek immeditial medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or physician.

Flagyl Er Precautions: Tell your pharmacist your medical history, especially of: liver problems, seizure disorders, allergies. Use of this medication for prolonged or repeated periods may result in a secondary infection (e.g., oral, bladder or vaginal infection). Avoid alcoholic beverages while taking it tablet and for at least 3 days after finishing this medicine because severe stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, headache and flushing may occur. Tell your pharmacist if you are pregnant before using this drug. this should not be used during 1'st 3 months of pregnancy & should be used with caution during last 6 months. Consult your doctor. it drug is excreted into breast milk and using it while breast-feeding isnt recommended. Consult you're physician.

Flagyl Er drug interactions: Inform your doctor about every the medicines you may use (both prescription & nonprescription) especially if you use: phenobarbital, 'blood thinners' (e.g., warfarin). do not take this medicine if you currently taking disulfiram. Contact your doctor. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.

Flagyl Er Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea & vomiting.

Flagyl Er special notes: Treatment of certain infections (trichomoniasis), may require that sexual partners be treated as well to avoid reinfection. During therapy, refrain from sexual intercourse or wear condom. this medication has been prescribed for some your current condition only. do not use it later for another infection or give it to someone else. different drug may be necessary in those cases.

If you missed Flagyl Er dose: If you miss a dose, take this as soon as remembered; don't take if it is almost clock for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume youre usual dosing schedule. don't 'double- up' dose to catch up.

Flagyl Er Storage: Store at room temperature away from moisture and sunlight. do not store in the bathroom.
