Gual Co Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous and congestion. Codeine is used to quiet cough. this combination med is used to control cough & congestion associated with a cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Gual Co: Take this medication with food if stomach upset occurs. Take this pill as directed. do not increase dose or take this more often or longer then prescribed. this is strong cough pill & must only be used for condition and by person since which it is prescribed. it must not be used for just any cough. it is helpful to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses day) to help relieve congestion.
Gual Co side effects: Drowsiness, constipation, stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, dizziness or headache may occur the first several days as some your body adjusts to med. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform some your doctor. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: a skin rash, itching, rapid heart rate. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Gual Co Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially about: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), substance abuse, allergies (especially to narcotics). Because this medication can cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness and avoid consuming alcohol. it drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. since Its not known if this med is found in breast milk; consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Gual Co tablet interactions: Tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take, including: sedatives, tranquilizers, narcotic pain relievers, sleeping tablets, seizure tablet, muscle relaxants, tablets for depression, cimetidine, quinidine. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Gual Co Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include slowed breathing, drowsiness, deep sleep or loss of consciousness, cold & clammy skin, dry mouth, and slow pulse.
Gual Co special notes: don't share this product with others.
If you missed Gual Co dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take if It's almost time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' doses.
Gual Co Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & heat. don't store in the bathroom.
