    Cipro XR Usage: this medication is quinolone antibiotic used to treat kidney or bladder (urinary tract) infections.

    How to use Cipro XR: this medication may be taken with or without food, usually 1 time daily, or use as directed by you're healthcare professional. Swallow this drug whole with full glass of water. do not break, crush or chew the tablets. Take it medication 2 hours before or six hours after taking any products containing magnesium, aluminum, or calcium. some examples include quinapril, didanosine, vitamins/minerals, & antacids. Dairy products (e.g., milk, yogurt), calcium-enriched juice, sucralfate, bismuth subsalicylate, iron, and zinc are also included. These products bind with ciprofloxacin preventing Its full absorption. Note: this medication may be taken with glass of milk or calcium-enriched juice with meal; taking it with milk or calcium-enriched juice without meal will prevent the medication from being fully absorbed. Drink plenty of fluids while using this medication unless your pharmacist tells you otherwise. Antibiotics work best when the amount about medicine in your body is kept at a constant level. Therefore, take it medication in same time each day. Continue to take this med until full prescribed amount is finished even if you feel better right away. Stopping the medication too early may allow bacteria to continue to grow, which may result in relapse of the infection. Read Patient information Leaflet available from your pharmacist.

    Cipro XR side effects: this drug may cause stomach upset, loss of appetite, diarrhea, nausea, headache, vision changes or dizziness during first several days as your body adjusts to the medication. If any about these effects persist or worsen, notify some your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Tell your physician immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: joint/muscle/tendon pain or swelling (tendonitis, tendon rupture), sunburn-like skin reaction (sun sensitivity). Tell your healthcare professional immediately if any about these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: seizures, mental/mood changes, easy bruising or bleeding, persistent sore throat or fever, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, stomach pain, yellowing eyes & skin, dark urine, unusual change in the amount about urine, unusual fatigue. this drug may rarely cause severe intestinal condition (pseudomembranous colitis) due to resistant bacteria. this condition may occur weeks after treatment has stopped. don't use anti-diarrhea goods or narcotic pain medications if you have next symptoms because these goods may make them worse. Tell your pharmacist immediately if you develop: persistent diarrhea, abdominal or stomach pain/cramping, blood/mucus in you're stool. Use of it medication for prolonged or repeated periods may result in oral thrush or new vaginal yeast infection (oral or vaginal fungal infection). Contact your doctor if you notice white patches in your mouth, change in vaginal discharge or other new symptoms. An allergic reaction to it drug is unlikely, but seek immeditial medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.

    Cipro XR Precautions: Before using this med, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: seizures, brain or nervous system disorders, kidney disease, tendon problems, liver disease, blood vessel problems, any allergies (especially to other quinolone antibiotics such as levofloxacin). it drug may make you dizzy or lightheaded; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcoholic beverages. this drug may make you more sensitive to the sun. Avoid prolonged sun exposure, tanning booths or sunlamps. Use sunscreen and wear protective clothing when outdoors. Caution is advised when using this drug in elderly because they may be more sensitive to the side effects about the drug, (e.g., tendon problems, especially if they are also taking corticosteroid drugs such as prednisone). Caution is advised when using it med in children. Contact the physician for more information. it medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with youre doctor. this medication passes in to breast milk. Breast-feeding isnt recommended while using this drug.

    Cipro XR drug interactions: Also refer to How To Use section. Before using this tablet, tell youre pharmacist or physician of every prescription & nonprescription goods you may use, especially about: other antibiotics, theophylline, warfarin, cyclosporine, glyburide, phenytoin, clozapine, live vaccines, probenecid, ropinirole, quinapril, didanosine, vitamins/minerals (e.g., magnesium, aluminum, calcium, iron, zinc), antacids, sucralfate, bismuth subsalicylate. Also report the use about medications which might increase seizure risk (decrease seizure threshold) when combined with ciprofloxacin such as: phenothiazines (e.g., thioridazine), tricyclic antidepressants (e.g., amitriptyline), isoniazid (INH), and theophylline, among others. Consult you're physician or pharmacist for details. Avoid drinking large amounts of beverages containing caffeine(coffee, tea, colas) or eating big amounts about chocolate. this drug may increase and/or prolong the effects about caffeine. it tablet can affect results of certain lab tests. Make sure laboratory personnel and your physicians know you use this drug. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or physician approval.

    Cipro XR Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

    Cipro XR special notes: don't share this drug with others. this tablet has been prescribed for your current condition only. do not use it later for another infection unless told to do so by your physician. a different pill may be necessary at those cases. Laboratory and/or medical tests may be performed to monitor your progress or cash for side effects. Consult your doctor for more details.

    If you missed Cipro XR dose: If you miss a dose, use this as soon as you remember. If it is near time about following dose, skip the missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule. don't double the dose to catch up.

    Cipro XR Storage: Store at room temperature at 77 degrees F (25 degrees C) away from light & moisture. Brief storage between 59 to 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) is permitted. do not store in the bathroom. Keep every medicines away from children & pets.
