Cipro HC Usage: this medication is an antibiotic and corticosteroid (anti- inflammatory, anti-itch) combination used to treat external ear infections.
How to use Cipro HC: it drug is generally used 2 times daily as directed. for accuracy and to avoid contamination, have another person insert the drops if possible. Hold container in hand for several minutes in order to warm this. this will minimize dizziness. To apply ear drops, wash hands first. To avoid contamination, do not touch dropper tip or let it touch you're ear or any another surface. Shake container well for 10 seconds before using. Lie on you're side or tilt the affected ear upward. Place the dropper directly over the ear & administer the prescribed number of drops. To help the drops roll into the ear (for adults) hold earlobe up and back or (for children) hold earlobe down & back. Keep the head tilted for about two minutes or insert soft cotton plug if so directed. do not rinse the dropper. Replace cap after use. for best results, it drug must be used routinely as directed. Continue using this since full time prescribed, then promptly discontinue use. Stopping it medication too soon, however, may not clear the infection and may result at reinfection. If the infection isn't improved after 7 days, consult your pharmacist or pharmacist. Report any ear discharge that occurs after treatment period is completed. Not for use in the eye.
Cipro HC side effects: Headache, dizziness or increased skin sensitivity may occur with the use of this medication. If these persist or worsen, notify your doctor promptly. Very unlikely but report promptly: tingling or numbness sensation. at unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, hives, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Cipro HC Precautions: Tell your pharmacist your medical history, including: another ear problems (e.g. perforated ear drum, infections), any allergies. Prolonged or repeated use about antibiotics may result in a secondary infection. Use for the prescribed period of clock only. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your pharmacist. this isnt known whether ciprofloxacin at this ear medicine is excreted in to breast milk. Because about potential risk to the infant, breast-feeding while using it drug isn't recommended. Consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Cipro HC medication interactions: Tell your doctor about every nonprescription and prescription medication you may use, especially: other ear drops. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or doctor approval.
Cipro HC Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Cipro HC special notes: this drug has been prescribed for your current condition only. Discard unused portion after therapy is completed. don't use it later for another infection or give it to someone else. different med may be necessary in those cases.
If you missed Cipro HC dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as you remember. If It's near time of next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Cipro HC Storage: Store below 77 degrees F (25 degrees C) away from light & moisture. do not freeze.
