    Cipro Usage: it drug is a quinolone antibiotic used to treat kidney or bladder (urinary tract) infections in females.

    How to use Cipro: this tablet may be taken with or without food, usually twice day, in the morning & in evening, or use as directed by you're healthcare professional. Take this medication two hours before or 6 hours after taking any goods containing magnesium, aluminum, or calcium. some examples include quinapril, didanosine, vitamins/minerals, and antacids. Dairy goods (e.g., milk, yogurt), calcium-enriched juice, sucralfate, bismuth subsalicylate, iron, & zinc are also included. These products bind with ciprofloxacin preventing this is full absorption. Note: it tablet may be taken with glass of milk or calcium-enriched juice with meal; taking it with milk or calcium-enriched juice with out a meal will prevent drug from being fully absorbed. Drink plenty of fluids while using this drug unless your doctor tells you otherwise. Antibiotics work best when the amount of medicine in your body is kept at constant level. Therefore, take this drug at evenly spaced intervals. Continue to take this drug until full prescribed amount is finished even if you feel better right away. Stopping med too early may allow bacteria to continue to grow, which may result in relapse of the infection. Read Patient info Leaflet available from your pharmacist.

    Cipro side effects: this med can cause stomach upset, loss of appetite, diarrhea, nausea, headache, vision changes or dizziness during 1st few days as some your body adjusts to tablet. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or physician promptly. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: joint/muscle/tendon pain or swelling (tendonitis, tendon rupture), sunburn-like skin reaction (sun sensitivity). Tell your doctor immediately if any of these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: seizures, mental/mood changes, simple bruising or bleeding, persistent sore throat or fever, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, stomach pain, yellowing eyes and skin, dark urine, unusual change in amount of urine, unusual fatigue. this medication may rarely cause severe intestinal condition (pseudomembranous colitis) due to resistant bacteria. this condition may occur weeks after treatment has stopped. do not use anti-diarrhea goods or narcotic pain medications if you have following symptoms because these products may make them worse. Tell youre pharmacist immediately if you develop: persistent diarrhea, abdominal or stomach pain/cramping, blood/mucus in your stool. Use of this medication for prolonged or repeated periods may result in oral thrush or a new vaginal yeast infection (oral or vaginal fungal infection). Contact youre pharmacist if you notice white patches in your mouth, a change in vaginal discharge or other new symptoms. An allergic reaction to this med is unlikely, but seek immeditial healthcare professional attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or healthcare professional.

    Cipro Precautions: Before using this medication, tell youre pharmacist or pharmacist youre medical history, especially of: seizures, brain or nervous system disorders, kidney disease, tendon problems, liver disease, blood vessel problems, any allergies (especially to other quinolone antibiotics such as levofloxacin). it medication may make you dizzy or lightheaded; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcoholic beverages. this drug may make you more sensitive to sun. Avoid prolonged sun exposure, tanning booths or sunlamps. Use sunscreen & wear protective clothing when outdoors. Caution is advised when using this drug in the elderly because they may be more sensitive to side effects of drug, (e.g., tendon problems, especially if they also taking corticosteroid drugs such as prednisone). Caution is advised when using it drug at kid. Contact doctor for more next details. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with you're doctor. this medication passes into breast milk. Breast-feeding is not recommended while using this drug.

    Cipro drug interactions: Also refer to the How To Use section. Before using it medication, tell your physician or doctor of every prescription & nonprescription products you may use, especially about: other antibiotics, theophylline, warfarin, cyclosporine, glyburide, phenytoin, clozapine, live vaccines, probenecid, ropinirole, quinapril, didanosine, vitamins/minerals (e.g., magnesium, aluminum, calcium, iron, zinc), antacids, sucralfate, bismuth subsalicylate. Also report the use of drugs which might increase seizure risk (decrease seizure threshold) when combined with ciprofloxacin such as: phenothiazines (e.g., thioridazine), tricyclic antidepressants (e.g., amitriptyline), isoniazid (INH), and theophylline, among others. Consult your pharmacist or physician for following info. Avoid drinking large amounts of beverages containing caffeine(coffee, tea, colas) or eating big amounts of chocolate. it medication may increase and/or prolong effects of caffeine. it drug can affect results about certain lab tests. Make sure laboratory personnel & you're pharmacists know you use this medication. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or physician approval.

    Cipro Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

    Cipro special notes: do not share it medication with others. this medication has been prescribed for your current condition only. do not use it later for another infection unless told to do so by youre doctor. a different medication may be necessary in those cases. Laboratory and/or medical tests may be performed to monitor your progress or check for side effects. Consult youre doctor for more next details.

    If you missed Cipro dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as you remember. If this is near the time of following dose, skip missed dose and resume some your usual dosing schedule. don't double dose to catch up.

    Cipro Storage: Store at room temperature below 86 degrees F (30 degrees C) away from light and moisture. do not store in the bathroom. Keep all medicines away from children & pets.
