Cutivate Usage: this drug is steroid product used on the skin to reduce inflammation and relieve itching associated with various skin disorders.
How to use Cutivate: this medication is for topical use only. Clean & dry affected area as directed. then apply a little of med on skin & rub in gently. a thin layer is all that is needed. do not bandage, wrap or cover the area treated unless you instructed to do so by your physician. do not use large amounts nor apply this more often then directed nor use this for longer than prescribed. your condition will not clear faster, but side effects may be increased. Use carefully if applying to the face. Avoid contact with eyes.
Cutivate side effects: it medication may cause itching, burning, redness, dry skin or a rash. Notify your doctor if you develop any about these symptoms. Very unlikely to occur but report promptly following side effects: unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea/vomiting, fainting dizziness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or physician.
Cutivate Precautions: Before using this drug, tell your pharmacist your medical history including: other illnesses, any infections, other skin disorders (e.g., thinning skin), allergies (especially medication allergies). Though very unlikely, it is possible this medication will be absorbed into your bloodstream. it may have undesirable consequences that may require additional corticosteroid treatment. this is especially true for children & for those who have used it for an extended period if they also have serious medical problems such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries. this precaution applies since up to one year after stopping use of this drug. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with your pharmacist. It's not known if this drug is excreted in to breast milk. Consult some your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Cutivate drug interactions: Tell you're pharmacist about any over-the-counter or prescription medication you use, especially of: skin goods containing hydrocortisone. don't start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or physician approval.
Cutivate Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Cutivate special notes: If condition for which this was prescribed does not improve or becomes worse after few days, notify your healthcare professional. Inform all youre doctors you use (or have used) this drug. don't share this medication with others.
If you missed Cutivate dose: If you miss dose, apply it as soon as remembered; do not take it if It's near the time for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Cutivate Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
