Reserpine Usage: it drug is used to treat hypertension.
How to use Reserpine: Take this medication exactly as prescribed. Try to take this at the same time each day. do not stop taking this medication without consulting you're doctor. few conditions may become worse when the drug is abruptly stopped. your dose may need to be gradually decreased. Take with food or milk to avoid stomach irritation unless otherwise directed by your doctor. It's important to continue taking it medication even if you feel well. most people with HBP don't feel sick.
Reserpine side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nasal congestion or fatigue may occur as your body adjusts to the drug. If these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor promptly. Inform your pharmacist promptly if you develop: chest pain, irregular heartbeat, shortness of breath, depression, impotence, nervousness, unusual bleeding or bruising. in unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immeditial medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Reserpine Precautions: Tell your pharmacist your medical history, especially about: depression, heart problems, ulcers, gallstones, any allergies. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, change positions slowly. this pill must be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your doctor. it tablet is excreted in to breast milk & has been shown to have undesirable effects on nursing infants. Consult with some your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Reserpine drug interactions: Inform your physician of all the medicine you use (both prescription and nonprescription), especially of: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). Avoid drugs that increase youre heart rate or make you nervous or excited love decongestants because they may counteract your blood pressure medicine. Decongestants are commonly found in over- the-counter cough-and-cold products. Ask your doctor if you need help in identifying decongestants in over-the-counter products. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or physician approval.
Reserpine Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include slow pulse, unusual dizziness, weakness, slow breathing, diarrhea, vomiting, flushing, stiffness, leg pain, shaking, seizures, & loss of consciousness.
Reserpine special notes: It's important to have your blood pressure checked regularly while taking this drug. Learn how to monitor your blood pressure. Discuss this with your pharmacist.
If you missed Reserpine dose: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. don't double the dose to catch up.
Reserpine Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight & moisture. do not store in bathroom.
