    Phenoxybenzamine - oral

    (fen-ox-ee-ben-zuh-meen)

    common brand names: Dibenzyline

    Dibenzyline Usage: this medication is used to treat symptoms of pheochromocytoma such as HBP and excess sweating. Phenoxybenzamine may also be used to treat urinary problems in men who have certain prostate conditions.

    How to use Dibenzyline: Take this medication by mouth as directed. you're dose may be increased gradually all few days until the desired effect is obtained. Follow dosing instructions closely.

    Dibenzyline side effects: Stomach upset, nasal congestion, drowsiness, dizziness, weakness, constricted pupils, inhibition about ejaculation may occur. These effects should subside as your body adjusts to tablet. If they continue or become bothersome, inform your physician. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: rapid or pounding heartbeat, fainting, vomiting, unusual weakness. Males - though It's unlikely to occur, if you get a painful, prolonged erection, stop using it medication & seek immediate medical attention. this pill can cause dizziness or drowsiness. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. Move from lying to standing position slowly & be careful on stairs. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or physician.

    Dibenzyline Precautions: Tell you're doctor if you have: other pre-existing illnesses, allergies. this drug must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with youre doctor. since small amounts of this drug are found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

    Dibenzyline medication interactions: Tell you're pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take, especially of: hypertension drugs, drugs for coughs/colds/allergies. Avoid intake of alcohol or other sedating type drugs to prevent excessive drowsiness & dizziness. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or doctor approval.

    Dibenzyline Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include unusual dizziness or fainting, rapid pulse, & loss of consciousness.

    Dibenzyline special notes: During therapy with it drug, some your blood pressure will be monitored closely & dosing adjustments may be made frequently.

    If you missed Dibenzyline dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take this if it is near time since next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.

    Dibenzyline Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 & 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. don't store in the bathroom.

    Medical alert: youre condition can cause complications at medical emergency.
