Transderm Scop Usage: it skin patch is used to prevent nausea, vomiting & dizziness caused by motion sickness.
How to use Transderm Scop: Place one patch in dry area behind ear at least four hours before the effect is required. patch will slowly release the medication in to you're system over period about 3 days. If patch becomes dislodged or another patch is needed, place the new patch on a clean, dry area behind ear. Use only one patch at a time. Wash hands thoroughly with soap & water after handling patch. If drug comes in contact with the eyes, blurred vision & pupil dilation can occur.
Transderm Scop side effects: this med may cause drowsiness, headache or dry mouth. These effects should subside as your body adjusts to the med. If they persist or worsen, inform you're doctor. Dizziness, stomach upset & loss of balance have been reported in a few patients after patches were removed. this occurred most often at persons using the patches since longer than 3 days. in the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms about an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or physician.
Transderm Scop Precautions: Tell youre doctor some your medical history, especially about: heart disease, glaucoma, ulcers, difficulty urinating or urinary tract disorders, high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, any allergies (including allergies to adhesives). Caution is advised when performing tasks requiring alertness (e.g., driving) since this drug may cause drowsiness. Limit alcohol intake; it may intensify drug side effects. children are very sensitive to the effects about this drug. Use about these patches isn't recommended in kid. it med should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with some your doctor. It's not known if it medication appears in breast milk. Consult youre physician before breast-feeding.
Transderm Scop drug interactions: Tell youre pharmacist of all over-the-counter & prescription med you may use, including tablets for: depression, heartbeat irregularities, Parkinson's disease. Also report any drugs which can cause drowsiness such as: antihistamines (e.g., diphenhydramine & others found in many cough/cold products), narcotic pain relievers, sleep medicines, anti-anxiety meds, anti-seizure drugs, tranquilizers/psychiatric medicines. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or physician approval.
Transderm Scop Overdose: If overdose is suspected, remove the patch. Contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include disorientation, memory disturbances, dizziness, restlessness, hallucinations, & confusion. Remove patch immediately if these symptoms occur.
Transderm Scop special notes: do not share this medication with others.
If you missed Transderm Scop dose: Skin patches offer convenience of continuous dosing. If you should forget to replace a patch at the scheduled time, replace it as soon as you remember. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Transderm Scop Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & heat. don't store in bathroom.
