Cleocin Usage: it medication is an antibiotic used to treat certain bacterial vaginal infections (bacterial vaginosis).

How to use Cleocin: it medication is used at bedtime, usually for total of 3 days, or as directed by your pharmacist. this product is for use in vagina only. a detailed instruction sheet on proper use of this medication should be provided. Review instructions carefully. If you have any questions, ask your physician or pharmacist. To prevent pill from leaking out of the vagina, lie down as soon as possible after using this medication. Avoid having sexual contact or the use of any vaginal products (e.g., douches or tampons) while using this medication. Continue to use this medication until the full-prescribed amount is finished. Stopping it tablet too soon may result in return of the infection.

Cleocin side effects: Vaginal itching, burning, or irritation may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify some your doctor promptly. Tell your doctor immediately if you develop any about these serious side effects: diarrhea, blood in stool, stomach pain, skin rash, cramps, back pain, swelling, difficult or painful urination. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're pharmacist or pharmacist.

Cleocin Precautions: Tell you're doctor your medical history, including: any allergies, intestinal problems (e.g., enteritis, colitis). Tell your pharmacist if you have had diarrhea and stomach pain while taking other antibiotics. it may be a symptom of different infection (pseudomembranous colitis) that requires another drug. this drug should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your pharmacist. this isn't known whether vaginal forms of this drug pass into breast milk. Oral and injectable forms pass in to breast milk. Because of the potential risk to the infant, breast-feeding while using this medication isn't recommended. Consult you're doctor before breast-feeding.

Cleocin med interactions: Tell youre doctor of every prescription & nonprescription drug you may use especially: lincomycin, other antibiotics. An ingredient in this drug may weaken rubber-containing goods (e.g., diaphragms, condoms). Avoid use of these products during, & for 3 days after, treatment with this medication. this drug may increase effects of certain drugs used during anesthesia. Tell youre doctor if you are going to be having any surgeries while using this drug. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or physician approval.

Cleocin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

Cleocin special notes: it med has been prescribed for your current condition only. don't use this later for other infection unless told to do so by youre doctor. different medication may be necessary in those cases. do not share this drug with others.

If you missed Cleocin dose: If you miss dose, contact your pharmacist or doctor to establish a new dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.

Cleocin Storage: Store in controlled room temperature (77 degrees F or 25 degrees C) away from light and moisture. Brief storage between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) is permitted. Avoid heat over 86 degrees F (30 degrees C).
