Tigan Usage: this medication is used to control nausea & vomiting.
How to use Tigan: Unwrap the suppository and insert it gently but completely into the rectum, pointed-end first. Avoid excessive handling about suppository so that it doesn't melt before use. this drug is usually used three to four times day. Use this exactly as prescribed. don't increase your dose or use this drug more many times then directed.
Tigan side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness or headache may occur. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify some your pharmacist if you develop: jaundice (e.g., yellowing of eyes or skin, dark urine), blurred vision, mental confusion, muscle cramps, skin rash. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Tigan Precautions: Tell your physician your medical history, especially of: high fever, stomach problems (gastroenteritis), swelling/disease of the brain (encephalitis/encephalopathy), mineral (electrolyte) imbalance, any allergies. don't give children trimethobenzamide to treat vomiting when the cause about vomiting is unknown. Trimethobenzamide may worsen Reye's Syndrome, a rare but serious illness. do not give trimethobenzamide (or aspirin or acetaminophen) to child with symptoms about Reye's Syndrome (sudden, severe, persistent vomiting; drowsiness or stupor; unusual behavior; and seizures). Call healthcare professional immediately if these symptoms are present. children and teenagers should not use this drug if they have chickenpox, influenza, or any undiagnosed illness with-out first consulting a healthcare professional about Reye's syndrome. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if this drug makes you drowsy or dizzy. Limit alcohol intake because it will add to dizziness or drowsiness effects of this medication. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your doctor. It's not known if it med is excreted into breast milk. Consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Tigan drug interactions: Tell your doctor of every prescription & nonprescription meds you may use, especially of: narcotic pain tablet (e.g., codeine), sleeping pills, tranquilizers, sedatives, barbiturates (e.g., phenobarbital), drowsiness-causing antihistamines (e.g., diphenhydramine). do not start or stop any medicine without physician or physician approval.
Tigan Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

If you missed Tigan dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use it if it is near time since the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.
Tigan Storage: Store suppositories at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
