Thorazine Usage: Chlorpromazine is used for certain types of mental or emotional conditions. it is also used to control hiccups, reduce anxiety, & treat nausea and vomiting.
How to use Thorazine: Warm suppository under lukewarm water or at you're hands. Unwrap suppository & moisten with a very small amount water. Lie down on you're left side with right knee bent. Push suppository into rectum with your finger. Remain lying down for several minutes & avoid having bowel movement for an hour or longer so med will be absorbed. don't use more of it medication than is prescribed. in treatment of mental or emotional conditions, it may take up to two weeks for full benefits of the drug to take effect.
Thorazine side effects: Constipation, drowsiness, vision changes or dry mouth may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your physician. Unlikely to occur but report promptly: restlessness, muscle stiffness, weakness, difficulty speaking, loss of balance, mask- like facial expression, trembling or shaking, dizziness, lip smacking or other uncontrollable movements, difficulty urinating, skin rash/discoloration. Very unlikely to occur but report promptly: sore throat, unusual bleeding or bruising, stomach pain, yellowing of eyes or skin, dark urine, hot dry skin, vomiting. Though very unlikely to occur, notify your doctor immediately if you experience any of following effects: severe muscle stiffness, confusion, fever, seizures, irregular/fast heartbeat, increased sweating, prolonged/painful erection. in unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this medication, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms about an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre physician or physician.
Thorazine Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional your medical history, especially about: very high or very LBP, liver disease, Reye's syndrome, alcohol or medication dependencies, allergies (especially drug allergies). Use caution performing tasks that require alertness. Use of alcohol can cause extreme drowsiness. Avoid alcohol consumption. it drug may increase sensitivity to sunlight. Avoid prolonged sun exposure & wear a sunscreen & protective clothing when you are exposed to the sun. this medication can reduce sweating making you more susceptible to heat stroke. Avoid strenuous work or exercise in hot weather. manufacturer of it drug does not recommend Its use during pregnancy. However, it may be used in certain cases. Discuss risks & benefits with you're doctor. Chlorpromazine is excreted into breast milk and may have undesirable effects on nursing infant. Consult some your doctor before breast-feeding.
Thorazine drug interactions: Inform your physician about all the medications you may use (both prescription and nonprescription), especially of: anti-depressant/anti-anxiety tablets, meds used to treat an overactive thyroid, sparfloxacin, grepafloxacin, guanethidine, guanadrel, metrizamide, cabergoline, beta-blockers (e.g., propranolol), lithium, narcotic pain medication (e.g., codeine), drugs used to aid sleep, drowsiness-causing antihistamines (e.g., diphenhydramine), other tablets that make you drowsy. much of of cough-and-cold products contain ingredients that may add drowsiness effect. Before using cough-and-cold medications, ask your pharmacist or pharmacist about safe use of those products. do not start or stop any medicine with out physician or pharmacist approval.
Thorazine Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include restlessness, muscle spasms, tremors, twitching, deep sleep or loss about consciousness, and seizures.
Thorazine special notes: do not share it tablet with others.
If you missed Thorazine dose: If you miss dose & take 1 dose per day, take the missed dose as soon as remembered unless it is almost time for next dose. in that case, skip missed dose & resume your usual schedule. If you take more than 1 dose daily, take missed dose as soon as possible if It's within an hour or so of missed dose. If not remembered within an hour, skip the missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not double the dose to catch up.
Thorazine Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight and moisture. don't store in bathroom.
Medical alert: your condition can cause complications in a medical emergency.
