Prolixin Decanoate Usage: this medication is used for mental/emotional conditions.

How to use Prolixin Decanoate: this drug is injected into muscle (IM) or under skin (SQ). it medication must be used as prescribed. do not stop using this drug suddenly without consulting some your doctor. some conditions may worsen if pill is suddenly stopped. this may take up to two weeks for full benefit of this med to take effect.

Prolixin Decanoate side effects: Constipation, drowsiness, vision changes or dry mouth may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify some your doctor. Unlikely to occur but report promptly: restlessness, muscle stiffness, weakness, difficulty speaking, loss about balance, mask- love facial expression, trembling or shaking, dizziness, lip smacking or other uncontrollable movements, difficulty urinating, skin rash/discoloration. Very unlikely to occur but report promptly: sore throat, unusual bleeding or bruising, stomach pain, yellowing of eyes or skin, dark urine, hot dry skin, vomiting. Though very unlikely to occur, notify your physician immediately if you experience any of following effects: severe muscle stiffness, confusion, fever, seizures, irregular/fast heartbeat, increased sweating, prolonged/painful erection. in unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immeditial medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or physician.

Prolixin Decanoate Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: very high or very LBP, liver or heart disease, Reye's syndrome, alcohol or med dependencies, nervous system problems, blood disorders, allergies (especially med allergies). Use caution performing tasks that require alertness such as driving or using machinery. Use of alcohol can cause extreme drowsiness. Avoid alcohol use. this medication may increase sensitivity to sunlight. Avoid prolonged sun exposure & wear sunscreen & protective clothing when you are exposed to sun. it med can reduce sweating making you more susceptible to heat stroke. Avoid strenuous work or exercise in hot weather. this drug isn't intended for use in kid under 12 years of age. it drug is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Consult your physician before using this drug. Certain pills closely related to this one (phenothiazines) are excreted into breast milk & may have undesirable effects on nursing infant. Consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

Prolixin Decanoate drug interactions: Inform your pharmacist about all the medications you use (both prescription and nonprescription), especially of: other anti-depressant/anti-anxiety drugs, sparfloxacin, grepafloxacin, guanethidine, guanadrel, metrizamide, cabergoline, lithium, narcotic pain medication (e.g., codeine), drugs used to aid sleep, drowsiness-causing antihistamines (e.g., diphenhydramine), other drugs that make you drowsy. many cough-and-cold products contain ingredients that may add drowsiness effect. Before using cough-and-cold drugs, ask some your doctor or healthcare professional about safe use of those products. do not start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or healthcare professional approval.

Prolixin Decanoate Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include, restlessness, confusion, excitement, weakness, fatigue, fainting, dizziness, rapid or irregular heartbeat, small pupil size, tremors, difficulty in swallowing or breathing, excessive drowsiness, very low body temperature, or seizures.

Prolixin Decanoate special notes: Its important you be monitored. Keep every pharmacist appointments. do not share this drug with others.

If you missed Prolixin Decanoate dose: If you miss dose & use 1 dose daily: use as soon as remembered unless Its almost time for next dose. in that case, skip the missed dose and resume some your usual schedule. If you use more than 1 dose daily: use as soon as possible if this is within an hour or so about missed dose. If not remembered within an hour, skip the missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. don't double dose to catch up.

Prolixin Decanoate Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight & moisture. do not store in bathroom. do not freeze.
