Cortisporin TC Usage: this combination drug is used to treat bacterial infections of ear. it also contains medicine (hydrocortisone) that reduces swelling & itching.

How to use Cortisporin TC: Apply or place medication drops into the affected ears usually 3 or four times daily; or as directed by your doctor. dosage (number about drops) is based on your medical condition & response to therapy. Before using, clean & then dry the outer portion of the ear with sterile cotton-tipped applicator (cotton swab). don't stick the swab too far into ear; doing so may cause damage to the inner ear. for accuracy & to avoid contamination, have another person insert the drops if possible. Hold container in hand for few minutes in order to warm it. To apply ear drops, wash hands first. To avoid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your ear or any other surface. Shake container well for 10 seconds before using. Lie on some your side or tilt the affected ear upward. Place the dropper directly over the ear and administer the prescribed number of drops. To help drops roll in to ear (for adults) hold earlobe up & back or (for children) hold earlobe down & back. Keep head tilted for about five minutes or insert a soft cotton plug if so directed. do not rinse dropper. Replace the dropper cap after use. for best results, this drug must be used routinely as directed. Continue using it for the full time prescribed, & then promptly discontinue use. Stopping it medication too soon may not clear infection & may result in relapse of infection. Inform you're doctor if your condition does not improve in 7 days.

Cortisporin TC side effects: Minor ear discomfort or irritation may occur. If any about these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor promptly. Tell your pharmacist immediately if any of these highly unlikely but serious side effects occur: change in hearing, severe pain, skin rash, fever. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're pharmacist or doctor.

Cortisporin TC Precautions: this tablet is not recommended for use if you have the following medical conditions: certain viral infections (e.g., chickenpox, herpes simplex, shingles). Tell some your pharmacist your medical history, especially of: perforated eardrum, other ear infections (e.g., chronic otitis media), any allergies (especially to aminoglycoside antibiotics love gentamicin or kanamycin). Tell your physician if you are pregnant before using it medication. It's not known if this medication passes into breast milk. Consult you're physician before breast-feeding.

Cortisporin TC drug interactions: Tell your doctor of every prescription & nonprescription medication you may use, especially: other ear drops, antibiotics. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or physician approval.

Cortisporin TC Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

Cortisporin TC special notes: this medication has been prescribed since your current condition only. don't use this later for another infection unless told to do so by your doctor. different med may be necessary in those cases. do not share it med with others.

If you missed Cortisporin TC dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as you remember. If this is near time of the following dose, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double the dose to catch up.

Cortisporin TC Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from light and moisture.
