Decongestant - nasal spray
Vicks Sinex Usage: this drug promotes nasal drainage & relieves nasal stuffiness. It's used to relieve symptoms associated with cold, hay fever, allergies, sinus infections & other related conditions. It's also used to relieve plugged ears.
How to use Vicks Sinex: it med is used at the nose as directed. To apply nasal spray, 1st blow your nose to help improve penetration of the medication. Keeping youre head upright, place the nasal spray just inside nostril being careful not to touch the container to the inside about the nose. Squeeze the container as you inhale deeply through your nose. Sniff hard several times to be sure the medication reaches deep in to nose. do not use this more often than directed or increase some your dose. Therapy usually lasts for 3 to three days. Excessive use of it pill can actually increase nasal congestion.
Vicks Sinex side effects: Stinging, burning, sneezing, increased nasal discharge, drying about nostrils, & altered taste may occur. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your healthcare professional if you develop: rapid or pounding heartbeat, dizziness, trouble sleeping, shaking of hands, tremors, unusual weakness. this medication may cause dizziness. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Vicks Sinex Precautions: Tell youre doctor if you have: heart problems, thyroid disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, seizure disorder, glaucoma, allergies (especially to sulfites). elderly and children may be more susceptible to effects of this medication. Use this with caution. this medication must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with some your healthcare professional. since small amounts of it drug are found in breast milk, consult you're physician before breast-feeding.
Vicks Sinex drug interactions: Tell youre physician of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take especially of: high blood pressure medications, antidepressants, cough-and-cold or allergy drugs. do not start or stop any medicine with out healthcare professional or physician approval.
Vicks Sinex Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, unconsciousness, sweating, dizziness, headache, or unusually quick heartbeat.
Vicks Sinex special notes: their are various nasal decongestants available, many without prescription. Discuss with your pharmacist or physician the best product for you.
If you missed Vicks Sinex dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take this if It's near time for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Vicks Sinex Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 & 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom. do not share the container with anyone else. Throw away the container when pill is no longer required.
