Cortisporin Usage: this medication is used to treat certain infections about outer ear.
How to use Cortisporin: for best effects, this tablet must be used as directed. Continue using it for full time prescribed. Stopping this medication too soon may not clear the infection & could possibly result in a reinfection. don't use this drug more often or continue to use it for longer than directed. Apply ear drops to the affected ears as follows: Wash hands first. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch dropper tip or let it touch youre ear. If the medication has been refrigerated, hold the bottle in you're hand since a several minutes to warm it. Shake container well for 10 seconds before using. Lie on youre side or tilt affected ear up. Place dropper directly over ear & administer prescribed number of drops. To help the drops roll into ear, in adults, hold the earlobe up & back & in children, hold earlobe down and back. Keep head tilted for about two minutes or insert soft cotton plug if directed to do so. don't rinse dropper.
Cortisporin side effects: this medication may temporarily sting or burn your ear since a minute or two when applied. If this continues or becomes bothersome, inform your physician. Notify you're pharmacist immediately if you develop: a skin rash, itching/burning/redness/swelling/pain in or around the ears. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Cortisporin Precautions: Tell you're healthcare professional if you have: other infections, allergies (especially to antibiotics or sulfites). this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with you're healthcare professional. Although unlikely, absorption into the body about hydrocortisone in it product may occur during topical application. Therefore, consult with you're doctor before breast-feeding.
Cortisporin drug interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Cortisporin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Cortisporin special notes: If condition for which it was prescribed does not improve or becomes worse after a few days, consult some your physician.
If you missed Cortisporin dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use this if It's near time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Cortisporin Storage: it may be stored in the refrigerator or in room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light.
