    Magnesium supplement - oral

    Mag 64 Usage: Magnesium plays critical role in body. this is essential for normal functioning of nerves, muscles & cells. Magnesium supplements used to treat or prevent low blood magnesium levels.

    Mag 64 can be used also for: this drug may also be used to prevent certain types of kidney stones.

    How to use Mag 64: Take this drug orally as directed. It's best taken with or just after a meal to improve absorption. Take each dose with full glass of water. Swallow sustained release tablets whole. don't crush or chew them.

    Mag 64 side effects: this drug is generally well tolerated. Stomach upset, bloating, gas or diarrhea may occur, especially with higher doses. Notify some your pharmacist if you experience: nausea, vomiting, any change at heart rate, flushing, faintness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.

    Mag 64 Precautions: Tell some your healthcare professional some your medical history, especially about: kidney disease, any allergies. this drug should be used as directed during pregnancy or while breast-feeding.

    Mag 64 medication interactions: Tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take especially: digoxin, penicillamine, any antibiotics. Avoid taking any tetracycline or quinolone antibiotic within 1 to two hours of taking magnesium since it may interfere with absorption of antibiotic. don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

    Mag 64 Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include slow heartbeat, flushing, severe drowsiness, dizziness, confusion, muscle weakness, & loss of consciousness.

    Mag 64 special notes: Magnesium supplements available in different forms which vary at amount of drug they contain. much of of available without a prescription. Ask your doctor or pharmacist to help select the best product for you. Foods rich in magnesium include avocados, bananas, beans, grains, green vegetables, roasted peanuts. Follow any dietary guidelines recommended.

    If you missed Mag 64 dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take it if It's near time since the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

    Mag 64 Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom.
