Vicks Pediatric 44e Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant. it combination drug is used to treat cough associated with the common cold, allergies & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Vicks Pediatric 44e: Take it medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take it more often than directed. Capsules and long-acting pills must be swallowed whole with full glass of water. do not crush or chew them. the long action will be destroyed & the chance of side effects will be increased.
Vicks Pediatric 44e side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur 1st several days as your body adjusts to the med. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform you're pharmacist. Notify your physician if you develop any of these effects while taking this medication: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if this drug makes you feel dizzy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or doctor.
Vicks Pediatric 44e Precautions: Tell some your physician your medical history, especially about: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. it medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your pharmacist. for small amounts of this med are found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Vicks Pediatric 44e drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). don't start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.
Vicks Pediatric 44e Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, & seizures.
Vicks Pediatric 44e special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this tablet. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Vicks Pediatric 44e dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near time for following dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Vicks Pediatric 44e Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
