Antihistamines with decongestants - oral
Nuhist Usage: Antihistamines provide relief of symptoms of allergies such as rash, hives, watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes & sneezing. Decongestants relieve congestion, promote sinus draining and improve breathing.
How to use Nuhist: May be taken with food or milk to prevent stomach upset. it is recommended to drink plenty about fluids while taking this med, unless your pharmacist instructs you otherwise. If symptoms do not improve after 7 days or are accompanied by high fever, notify youre physician. do not increase dose or take this more frequently than recommended. the suspension dosage form must be shaken well before each use.
Nuhist side effects: can cause drowsiness, dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, stomach upset, blurred vision, restlessness, irritability and dry mouth & nose. These effects should subside as you're body adjusts to tablet. If they persist or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your physician if you develop: breathing difficulties, heart pounding, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, ringing in ears, difficulty urinating. may cause dizziness especially when rising quickly from a seated or lying position. Change positions slowly & be careful on stairs. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre healthcare professional or physician.
Nuhist Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially about: asthma, glaucoma, ulcers, difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland, heart disease, high blood pressure, seizures, an overactive thyroid gland, tablet allergies. check this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your pharmacist promptly if this contains PPA or if you are uncertain this product has PPA. do not drink alcoholic beverages. it drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding. don't give this medication to child younger than six years about age unless directed to do so by a doctor.
Nuhist drug interactions: Tell your doctor what medications you take, especially of: HBP drugs, anti-seizure drugs, antidepressants, sleeping tablets, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, narcotic pain medication, another cold or allergy med. don't take this drug if you have taken an MAO inhibitor (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) within the last two weeks. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Nuhist Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose in kid may include dizziness, nausea/vomiting, abnormal eye movements, flushed face, dry mouth, change in amount of urine, fever, excitation, agitation, unconsciousness, bizarre behavior, confusion, restlessness, irritability, delirium, twitching, tiredness, abnormal tongue movement, trembling extremities, slurred speech, or seizures. Symptoms of overdose in adults may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, or unconsciousness, which may be followed by excitement or seizures.
Nuhist special notes: do not share this product with others.
If you missed Nuhist dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; don't take if it is almost clock since following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
