Antihistamines with decongestants - oral long acting
Simular Drugs : Disophrol, Disophrol
Disophrol Usage: Antihistamines provide relief of symptoms of allergies such as rash, hives, watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes & sneezing. Decongestants relieve congestion, promote sinus draining and improve breathing.
How to use Disophrol: May be taken with food or milk to prevent stomach upset. Sustained-release or long acting pills and capsules must be swallowed whole. Chewing or crushing them will destroy long action & may increase side effects. this is recommended to drink plenty of fluids while taking this medication, unless your pharmacist instructs you otherwise. If symptoms don't improve after 7 days or accompanied by a high fever, notify your doctor. do not increase the dose or take this more frequently than recommended.
Disophrol side effects: may cause drowsiness, dizziness, headache, loss about appetite, stomach upset, blurred vision, restlessness, irritability & dry mouth & nose. These effects should subside as your body adjusts to medication. If they persist or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify some your healthcare professional if you develop: trouble breathing, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, ringing at ears, difficulty urinating. can cause dizziness especially when rising quickly from a seated or lying position. Change positions slowly and be careful on stairs. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your doctor or doctor.
Disophrol Precautions: Tell some your physician some your medical history, especially of: asthma, glaucoma, diabetes, ulcers, difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland, heart disease, HBP, seizures, overactive thyroid gland. cash this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult you're pharmacist promptly if this contains PPA or if you uncertain this product has PPA. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding. cash other medicines you take for duplications. do not drink alcoholic beverages. don't give extended-release pills to a child younger than 12 years of age unless directed to do so by a doctor.
Disophrol drug interactions: Tell your doctor of every prescription & nonprescription drugs you may use, especially med for: HBP, seizures, depression. Tell you're healthcare professional if you use any meds that make you drowsy such as: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, narcotic pain drug (e.g., codeine), other cold or allergy medications. do not take it med if you have taken an MAO inhibitor (e.g., furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) within the last two weeks. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or healthcare professional approval.
Disophrol Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose in children may include dizziness, nausea/vomiting, abnormal eye movements, flushed face, dry mouth, change in amount of urine, fever, excitation, agitation, unconsciousness, bizarre behavior, confusion, restlessness, irritability, delirium, twitching, tiredness, abnormal tongue movement, trembling extremities, slurred speech, or seizures. Symptoms of overdose in adults may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, or unconsciousness, which may be followed by excitement or seizures.
Disophrol special notes: don't share this product with others.
If you missed Disophrol dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost time since following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Disophrol Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight and moisture.
