Corticosteroids - topical
Del Beta Usage: this medication is used to treat swelling, inflammation, or itching of skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, rashes, insect bites, poison ivy, allergies & other irritations.
How to use Del Beta: Clean & dry affected area before applying medication. To apply, gently massage a small amount of drug into affected area & surrounding skin. do not bandage, wrap or cover the area treated unless you are instructed to do so by your doctor. do not use plastic pants or tight fitting diapers on children being treated with this medication in diaper area. Avoid using this med around eyes unless directed to do so by your physician.
Del Beta side effects: this drug may cause burning, stinging, itching, or redness when first applied to skin. this must disappear in some days as your body adjusts to the medication. this drug may also cause skin thinning and discoloration. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Skin infections can become worse when using it medication. Notify youre pharmacist if redness, swelling or irritation does not improve. Very unlikely to occur but report promptly the following side effects: unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea/vomiting, fainting, dizziness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Del Beta Precautions: don't use this medication near eyes if you have glaucoma. Treatment with clobetasol, halobetasol propionate & augmented betamethasone dipropionate beyond two weeks consecutively isn't recommended. do not use if there is an infection or sores present on the area to be treated. Though very unlikely, this is possible this drug will be absorbed in to you're bloodstream. this may have undesirable consequences that may require additional corticosteroid treatment. this is especially true for children & for those who have used this for an extended period if they also have serious medical problems such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries. this precaution applies for up to one year after stopping use about this drug. Consult your healthcare professional or pharmacist for more details. this pill should be used cautiously during pregnancy and only if clearly needed. Discuss benefits & risks with you're physician. Small amounts of this medication may appear in breast milk. Consult with your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Del Beta drug interactions: Tell you're pharmacist of all drugs you may use, (both prescription & nonprescription), especially about: prednisone (or similar drugs), other skin medicines. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or doctor approval.
Del Beta Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Del Beta special notes: Inform every your healthcare professionals you use (or have used) it drug. do not share this medication with others.
If you missed Del Beta dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as remembered; don't use if it is almost time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Del Beta Storage: Store in room temperature away from sunlight. Avoid freezing.
Medical alert: you're condition can cause complications in a medical emergency.
