Tussin Expectorant Usage: it medication is used to relieve dry cough and helps to loosen phlegm & mucous in the lungs so you can 'cough-up' (expectorate) mucous.

How to use Tussin Expectorant: Take each dose of this medication with full glass of water. Water will also help break-up the mucous & clear congestion. Drink plenty of fluids while taking this medication, unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. do not take this medication since chronic, persistent cough such as occurs with smoking or asthma unless directed by your doctor. If cough lasts for more than one week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by fever, headache or rash, consult your physician.

Tussin Expectorant side effects: this drug can cause stomach upset or rash. If these effects persist or worsen, inform your pharmacist. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your healthcare professional or pharmacist.

Tussin Expectorant Precautions: If you have any of the following health problems, consult you're pharmacist before using this med: breathing problems such as emphysema/chronic bronchitis/asthma, smoking, any allergies. it drug should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with youre physician. Its not known if this drug is excreted in to breast milk. Consult you're physician before breast-feeding.

Guaifenesin may affect the results of certain lab tests. Be sure youre caregivers aware you use it medicine before lab tests performed. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or physician approval.

Tussin Expectorant Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, fatigue, weakness, dizziness, and unusually slow heartbeat.
