Decongestant/narcotic antitussive/antihistamine - oral

Nudal HD Usage: Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. the low-dose narcotic antitussive helps control a cough. antihistamine is since relief from sneezing, runny nose, water eyes. this combination product is used to treat symptoms associated with common colds, allergies, hay fever and other respiratory illnesses.

How to use Nudal HD: Take this medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take it more often than directed. this medication is best taken with full glass about water after meal or snack.

Nudal HD side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, stomach upset or dry mouth may occur the 1st several days as your body adjusts to medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify youre pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, a rapid pulse, skin rash, hypertension, difficulty urinating, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations, breathing trouble. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your physician or healthcare professional.

Nudal HD Precautions: Tell you're doctor if you have: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, HBP, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, history of drug dependency, any allergies. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if this drug causes you to feel drowsy. check this product's ingredient list since phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your physician promptly if it contains PPA or if you uncertain this product has PPA. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your physician. since small amounts of this medication found at breast milk, consult you're doctor before breast-feeding.

Nudal HD med interactions: Tell youre physician of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take, including: blood pressure drugs, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping pills, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine), cimetidine, narcotic pain medication (e.g., codeine). Limit your intake of alcoholic beverages while taking this medication. don't start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.

Nudal HD Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include drowsiness, headache, dizziness, weakness, profuse sweating, slow or fast heartbeat, slow or shallow breathing, hyperactivity, fever, seizures, or unconsciousness.

Nudal HD special notes: Drink plenty about fluids, especially water while taking this medication. this will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.

If you missed Nudal HD dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near time for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

Nudal HD Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom.
