Welchol Usage: this med is used alone or in combination with another med to treat high cholesterol levels in blood (primary hypercholesterolemia). this is recommended that it pill be used along with an exercise program & low- cholesterol, low-fat diet. Reducing cholesterol helps prevent stroke & heart attacks.
How to use Welchol: Take this drug by mouth, with plenty of water, along with meal. this tablet is usually taken 1 time or twice daily. your dosage is based on your condition & response to therapy. this may take several weeks before full effects of this drug noticed.
Welchol side effects: Constipation, nausea, diarrhea, gas, heartburn, or headache may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, notify some your doctor. Tell your healthcare professional immediately if you have any of these serious side effects: muscle pain, unusual weakness, stomach pain. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're physician or physician.
Welchol Precautions: Tell your physician your medical history, especially of: any allergies, bowel problems (obstructions), high fat levels in blood (triglycerides greater than 300mg/dl), bleeding problems, difficulty swallowing, stomach problems (e.g., surgery, motility disorders). it medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with some your physician. it isn't known whether this drug passes into breast milk. Because about potential risk to infant, breast-feeding while using this drug is not recommended. Consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Welchol medication interactions: Tell youre healthcare professional of all prescription & nonprescription medication you may use, especially of: other cholesterol-lowering med, vitamin products, verapamil. do not start or stop any medicine with out healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Welchol Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

If you missed Welchol dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If Its near time of the next dose, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double the dose to catch up.
Welchol Storage: Store at room temperature between 36 & 86 degrees F (2 to 30 degrees C) away from light & moisture.
