    Neomycin/polymyxin/hydrocortisone - otic solution

    (nee-oh-my-sin/paw-lee-mix-in/hi-dro-kor-tih-sown)

    Cortisporin Usage: it pill is used to treat certain infections of the outer ear.

    How to use Cortisporin: for best effects, this medication must be used as directed. Continue using it for full time prescribed. Stopping this tablet too soon may not clear infection and could possibly result in a reinfection. don't use this tablet more often or continue to use this for longer than directed. Apply ear drops to affected ears as follows: Wash hands first. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch dropper tip or let it touch your ear. If medication has been refrigerated, hold bottle in your hand for a few minutes to warm it. Lie on your side or tilt the affected ear up. Place dropper directly over ear & administer the prescribed number of drops. To help the drops roll into ear, in adults, hold earlobe up and back & in children, hold the earlobe down & back. Keep head tilted for of two minutes or insert soft cotton plug if directed to do so. do not rinse the dropper.

    Cortisporin side effects: this medication may temporarily sting or burn you're ear for minute or two when applied. If it continues or becomes bothersome, inform your pharmacist. Notify some your doctor immediately if you develop: skin rash, itching, burning, redness, swelling or pain in or around the ears. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.

    Cortisporin Precautions: Tell you're pharmacist if you have any of the following conditions: infections, allergies (especially to antibiotics or sulfites). it med should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. Discuss risks and benefits with your physician.

    Cortisporin drug interactions: Tell you're pharmacist about any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take. don't start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or pharmacist approval.

    Cortisporin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

    Cortisporin special notes: If the condition for which this was prescribed does not improve or becomes worse after some days, consult youre doctor.

    If you missed Cortisporin dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if It's near clock for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.

    Cortisporin Storage: this may be stored in refrigerator or at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. Discard this if the solution turns brown, cloudy or contains particles.
